As long as she is with enchanting drinks, extravagant feasts, and pleasurable appetizers, Shuten-doji is without malice… so it has been said. Right now, however, she is clearly without any of the three. It was an understatement to say that in this moment, Shuten-doji was with malice.
And it only kept getting worse – to think, a mere human would reject the ultimate fantasy of thousands of men’s lifetimes and spit in its face. Her body, cadence, the romantic swell of her hips she so prided on crumble to dust in her attempt to appeal to the man’s more primitive side.
For a second, a single second, perhaps the first second in thousands of years, Shuten-doji is stunned.
Embarrassment is quick to transform into anger, no longer veiled on the oni’s pale face. “Fufu… You insolent roach, too much pride is just flat-out unattractive, you know.” If it was the talons of a chicken he wished to see her recreate, she will meet him half way, nails curling into long, sharp shivs that she does not hesitate in thrusting upwards towards the man’s face. To gouge something, anything, would be a first step in satiating the bruise on her pride.
Ah, had he done it now? Had the Skyrealm’s greatest Swordsmen accidentally played his card wrong being the Skyrealm’s greatest goader?
“Haha, I guess it evens out all the other attractive features in me to not make too alluring for people.” In a normal situation, this would have been deadly indeed for him. But here he was, holding firmly onto a prized weapon, and had no qualms using it in defense to put up a sharp blockade between them just in time.
If only, for a moment, did he lose his cool while trying to keep up his rebellious smirk, a sweat drop running down his temple betraying his appearance of control.
“Woah, woah. Easy there onihime. You were the one who offered anything in exchange, weren’t you? Such simple request would been easily fulfilled by one as omnipotent as yourself, no?”
Sadly for Shuten Douji, swords are a step above more attractive than women to this collector nut.

‘Seeing children at a park around the playground was nothing out of the ordinary. But seeing them all bundled up in one spot was.
Lured in by his own curiosity, the cool knight in black and gold armor with the red and white cape walked over. Towering over the kids he eyed what the commotion was about.
Spinning toys put in an arena of sorts having a go at each other.
“Ah, I see, I see.” The blond man mused to himself observing the gladitorial esque display in front of him.
Eventually, one of the spinners knocked the other into one of the arena’s edge pits.
“So this is the latest fad among children nowadays huh?” Siete snapped his fingers and looked at one of the spectators, a boy in blue hair and sporting some war paint under his left eye.
“Hey boy, what is this little game you all are playing?”
Stuck here in the middle with you.

“Haha, I see. This is what people meant with me having an attractive personality.”
“Conjoined magnetization” was the latest plague spreading through Citta, no one but The Scientists knows where it originated or how to fix it. Some urban theories says people becoming magnetized to others who are polar opposite on the alignment system. Other says it must be something far more scientific.
For some the magnetization stopped by itself after a few hours, while others used home remedies.
Regardless where it came from or how to cure it, Siete being stuck by his left hip to another was nothing else but a fact. One peculiarly odd person with tattoos all over their body.
“So what about you, my conjoined twin? I’m Siete, pleasure to meet.” The Skyrealm’s greatest Swordsman offered one plated hand for a handshake and a calm, smiling expression to show his cool headed attitude.
Looks like what I needed to get back in the groove was a lengthy break.
I’ll tackle those starters I owe.
I want new threads and you want to interact with this chill oniisan how about we hit two birds with one sword?
Cap equal to his sword collection (a bit over 100,000), make sure to like before it’s met!

It had been so close, the power and antique radiating off it warmed her fingertips, right there for the taking – right before it slipped from her as quick as the blink of an eye. To be so close only to fail was infuriating, but Shuten’s resolve hardly wavered.
His words reverberate from behind her, and she takes her time to turn around, eyes crawling cross his body to seek out where her prize disappeared to.
“Evil? How rude. You don’t simply call a woman you just met evil. I have my own agenda, you know? Oni do not care what humans think is right or wrong… Try looking at another perspective than your own, for once.” Still speaking in that honey liquor voice of hers, but strain could be heard slipping through the cracks, clear poison she could only wish to flood his veins with.
Not only was he keeping something valuable from her, but that sense of self-appointed authority that dripped from every word, every movement, even from his stance alone – it chafed against the oni’s pride. Her gums and fingers tingled with a flaming desire to rip the flesh from his bone in gruesome carnage. However…
One last chance. It would take ages to get blood washed out from this kimono…
“Alright, alright… Is there any need for this, now? I’m telling you, even though I have these horns, I’m quite amicable too. How about a deal?”
“What do you want for that, hm? Tell me… You must have some desire other than scrap metal, you are only a man after all… Right? Go on, you have my ears.”
Indeed, calling a lady evil at first meeting might be rude. But can you say the same if you call a simple monster evil?
“True, I am only a man. A man who is very fond of swords.” He displayed the golden tinted blade between his hands for her in a quite professional showcase manner. Running one of his plated fingers along the keen edge, flashing with lightning along the gentle touch.
“Then...” He dragged out on his reply, intentionally. Everything it was going to take to get on her nerves. “How about you imitate a chicken and go cluck cluck? Flap your arms and scratch the floor like a real hen.” Entertainment was a very basic desire, was it not? He looked at her, unfazed by her powers. Corners of his lips slightly curled shaping that smug expression when mixed with his half open eyes.
“Come on, bock bock.”

chopping the burgers up in midair, truly she had never thought of such a tactic. this man was clearly a force to be reckoned with. she couldn’t lose though, her brute force would defeat any technique this boy could throw at him
she shoved another burger down her throat, not letting up.
“I have more stomachs than you could ever hope to achieve!” she shouted as another burger went down.
it had only taken the two a few minutes to put a sizable dent in the free food table. the other customers were watching intently. it would be only a matter of time before management undoubtedly told them to leave. but she didn’t care, she would win, so she just kept on eating.
A fierce battle between two ideals was clashing, fast food scarfed down like garbage down a dumpster. However, their contest was not one that was going to be honorably undisturbed. As half the restaurant suddenly got demolished in an instance by such force food and people were sent flying, Siete’s two magnificent cowlicks were fluttering intensely in an almost 90 degree angle from the force.
Indeed, it would appear that the earlier mentioned experimental laboratory at the start of the thread was going to be relevant in this very moment as large, mutated fastfood monsters were wreaking havoc. Seemingly the food and chemical waste and met a harmony of destruction and blind rage. From brutish, gorilla-like burgers with the strength of a thousand ox to slithering french fries, flexible and strong wrapping around their victims like boas.
“Ah... I suppose something like this had to happen...”
Stuffing his mouth with the burger in his hand, Siete went and grabbed two large knives. Really large. After all, a place like Citta you gotta cater to all sizes of citizens. Including giants. Tho the knives are plastic and dull, in SIete’s capable hands they were gonna have to do. “Let’s postpone our dispute until after we’ve taken care of these things before there’s no fastfood chain left to order from.”
“Surf’s up, Citta-kuns and chans.”
minervassoul:
❛ I most absolutely DID NOT. I would never call you such a thing. You’re hearing things. ❜ Oh. Right. A phone. She took out hers and stared at it, rubbing the back of her head.
❛ I… don’t know how to use it. ❜ Yes, that’s right. Nerua had absolutely no idea how to use a cell phone. ( She also forgot she had one! Oops! ) She didn’t really use it that much to begin with.. She used it once as far as she can remember. She used it to contact one person and even then it wasn’t a long conversation.
“Aww, really? I swear I heard it...”
“Eh? Really now? You’re missing out on such a handy device!”
Already he started tapping away. Shortly followed by the girl’s phone buzzing with a message popping up.
From: Siete To: Sword Kouhai
[ Ohayo, student!
Don’t forget practice on Tuesday 19:30!
-Senpai ]
“See? Pretty handy, right?” He made sure to even use his favorite emoji in his message
minervassoul:
❛ Senpai! Where have you been? I’ve been–! ❜ She realizes what she just said and shakes her head. Clearing her throat, she decides to just start her sentence over.
❛ I–I mean. Oppa! You can’t just disappear off like that! It’s not like I actually missed you or anything. ❜
⚔ @swordcollector
“Eh, did you finally call me senpai?” The joy was impossible to hide in his sparkling appearance and light fluster.
“Ahaha~ Sometimes I get busy and lose track of time~” He pulls out his phone from inside his armor, spinning it in his hand at rapid speed. “Can always send me a message on this thing if anything’s up.”

“Fascinating! I"ve heard of many people having many talents in this city, but I Have yet to meet anyone who can understand swords. Do you actually speak with them, or is it more of something that transcends the normal need of speech? Something more along a mental link to the soul of the blade?”
She looked at the wooden blade and nodded. A blade was a blade, but she was more than glad to have living steel in hand once more. Sasori had done a fine job in crafting her own weapon anew.
“I must be honest with you, I’m always glad to meet people who can judge the worth of a blade. So many people default right to guns in this city, and while they are quick, they can be useless. After all, once a gun is out of ammo you’re a sitting duck!”
“Ah? Something like that.” He rubbed his chin thinking it over. “The soul of the swords are certainly what I hear. But it does help providing a translation to the surrounding people in the room.” He thinks back momentarily to the time he devoured what he deemed to be greatest sword in existence’s soul. Not an easy task and certainly life threatening, but at the time it was necessary to further enhance his prowess. “Guns huh? I knew a lady back from my world who were quite proficient with them.” He mused nostalgically thinking back at his crew, each one of them was the Skyrealm’s greatest wielder of their weapon of choice. And things the stern Esser could pull off with her guns made her look like a warship unloading every barrel, scary really.
His two cowlicks twitched happily at her opinion. Getting to know such a refined person with full understanding of the greatness of swords!
“Ah the more you speak lady Weiss the more I come to understanding you are a woman of fine culture, be still my beating heart.” His confident (smug) expression took on softer shapes into a more infatuated one, placed a hand over his heart on his armor to emphasis his words.
“Indeed! A good sword can get you far even in this world where range is more favored. And even more exceptional swordsmanship will make range trivial!”

how cocky could one man be? she found herself asking internally. the greatest Saber known to this world, when she existed. how foolish. there was no way he could match her, neither in combat, nor an eating contest.
“treating eating like wielding a sword? a truly honorable way of going about things. however, your skillfull techniques is not the only way you can win a sword fight. sometimes a winner can be decided just by pure power alone”
and just like that, not even bothering with food trays, she began to eat from the tables themselves. a move one could potentially call cheating, however she didn’t mind. there was no true honor in a battle between swordsman. that kind of thing was useless
she would absolutely defeat this man right here
“Raw power is well and good but what differences you from a raging bull is in the elegance of how you use it~” While his opponent was behaving no more than a wild animal, grabbing two plastic knives, Siete showcased his expert swordsmanship.
With a blinding blur his arms worked, his hands turned into scalpels, slicing up burgers into mince meat, swiftly scooping up the bits into his mouth. Even throwing three burgers mid-air he turned them into easy to swallow bite sized bits. Such elegance, such technique. Well befitting the greatest Saber!
With lazy, half open eyes, he looked over to his opponent. “Do you have enough stomachs, Queen of Burgers?”
disgracxd:
“I haven’t faced a dragon per say, but I have seen one in combat. It attacked my school a year or so ago.” Her voice was perfectly polite as she listened to him babble about his sword collection, clearly amused. Before he could get too deep into his ramblings she spoke up.
“How on earth do you find the time to learn how to use over three hundred swords? With each having their own weight difference you must be very skilled at shifting your grip to handle the differing weights….”
She was, admittedly amused by the sight of his twitching hair….
“And then, this one sword, at a gnoll camp-”
“How on earth do you find the time to learn how to use over three hundred swords? With each having their own weight difference you must be very skilled at shifting your grip to handle the differing weights….”
His eyes perked up. Why no one has ever asked him that, but he had an answer as natural as grass growing and birds flying.
“Oh that’s easy, just like how you get to know anyone else, I talk to them!” Indeed, in a sense Siete was able to communicate with swords. Able to sense their own will.
With a blue spark of lightning in his hand, the wooden sword he was stuck with in this world appeared. “For instance, this is the only sword I’m allowed to use now. Quite sad, really. But we got acquainted and already dealt with several troublesome moments together...”
In same similar fashion he made the sword appear, he made it disappear and shrugged. “...I suppose I was born as a sword genius. The tricky part is understanding each sword’s personality. But most swords are straightforward and honest!”

She shouldn’t be so surprised that he would make things harder for her, but it was annoying to Shuten that she would have to work that much more for something she felt obligated to already have within her grasp. His reflexes were noted, this might take longer than she would have wished.
What’s more than his strength, however, is how daring he was, closing the gap between them so much so she could nearly feel the heat from his body. But it was his eyes, if anything, that interested her most – a shade of piercing blue that only belonged to the most wild of the bunch, like eternally sparkling jewels she would be happy to carve out and put on display. Maybe afterwards…
“How bold… most men who get this close to me do not get to retreat with their lives in tact.”
“Your skull must be thicker than brick to want a dance with the devil. Might I use it for a sip of sake~?”
With the sword having disappeared somewhere between his cape and back, Shuten decides her next move is to shrink back to regular height and make a dash attempt at slipping both her arms around his abdomen, where the sword she sought called for her – she’d swear by it.
“Haha~ Rest assured, I am not like most men.” He was above them, after all, was he not the greatest swordsman in all of the Skyrealm? Was not his overwhelming power his Noblesse Oblige that made him protect those weaker than him from all the evils of the world?
“I believe in winner takes all, would you win my head, do as you please with it.” He answered, unshaken by her threatens. His hand twisting firmly around the sword behind his back.
Her sudden darting move, it wasn’t easy to follow, less so to react with. The ogres Siete encountered were dimwitted and slow. She was agile and full of wit. Like a greedy goblin obsessed with treasure. Like a beautiful rose, with thorns dripping with the deadliest poisons. Was he not staying alert this entire moment for another attempt of theft she might have gotten away with it, the clear blade glimmering before her grasp just as the man in the black armor manages to slip away from her, twisting his body like ballet, his moves were without waste, a flow as fluid as a river. He appeared behind her with the sword tapping in his hand. A danse macabre was taking place, each motion was another flirt, a single misstep could spell death.
“You know, I cannot simply let things falls into the hands of evil. It would go against my code, see.”
What was this presence he was letting off. His eyes looked at her with a cold gaze, but they were ignited with a bright blue flame sparkling inside like a glimmering cave of aquamarines. Like as if he was unmovable from his position, unshaken in resolve, what did he even see her as? Something lower than him? A sense of authority, perhaps. Like a king? No, something that ruled above kings. Something that rivaled Gods. Was he a force that truly served the good? A force that dictated its own accord.
“And you, Oni-chan, is giving me a hunch the sword would do terrible deeds in yours.”
minervassoul:
Nerua tried her best to hide her smile from the praise. She had a good start, that was good! Her mindset was working for her. Though his tactics were a surprise to her. The young guard caught her balance when her blade was pushed to the side with ease.
❛ I can promise you I have a lot more surprises ! ❜
She took a few steps back - imagining she was defending her Lady Bell and the throne. What could she do next? The guard had to think quick on her feet, if this were a real battle, she’d be knocked to the ground, defeated. A grin appeared on her lips, this time aiming for his legs. It was easier when she was able to throw off her opponent’s balance. As most of the people she’s been up against before never thought she’d aim low instead of trying to knock a weapon out of her opponent’s hand. ( Although, if she ever caught them in her plans, the knock off would be easier. )
He didn’t respond to her reassurances, simply waiting for her to show what else she had in store. The man stood firm on his spot as she approached once more, the low strike was met by the same blue sparkling light that blocked her last move with a hollow thud against the blue glimmer that he kept making reappear. After all, as long as he could react in time, there was no need to reposition himself. But now their swords had spoken to each other twice, and Siete was getting an understanding of his student.
“Alright. Stop, stop!” He made a timeout sign with his hands with the shape of a T with two open hands, the horizontal left placed on top of the vertical right.
“I see, I see.” He nodded, his two cowlicks bobbing in the air as he did. “Little lady, you show promise! But how thorough was your training?”
The blue glimmer once more appeared in his hand, but this time for more than a flash, and evidently, the ‘magic’ he was using appeared in the shape of a wooden sword, one he had summoned for less than a second before desummon it again, only calling it forth just for when the swords would clash.
Truly, an amazing feat of precision and timing one would expect from the Skyrealm’s greatest swordsman! If he does think so himself.
He pointed the tip of the sword against the girl’s legs. “You certainly know how to hold a blade, but how much thought has been put into your posture? To the average eye you appear just like any other sword(wo)man, but I can’t help but to notice slight errors!”
disgracxd:
“I am indeed!” She smiled, pleased at him noticing such a small detail and turned her hand to face palm upwards, showing the callous off. While most would grind them away she was pleased to have them. they set her apart from her Father and Brother.
“She’s called Myrtenaster, a Multi Action Dust Rapier. I crafted her with my own hands.”
The two cowlick strands swaying above his head twitched with interest as he gets to hear about this.
After all, swords are his passion.
“Oho, a rapier? Of course, an elegant weapon like that is the perfect match for a lady like you, hm hm!” He nodded to himself, stroking his chin.
“And you made it yourself too? I would love to meet her someday. I don’t craft weapons myself but I have a generous collection of swords myself! Have you ever heard of Drakentand? Why, it’s a solid bone sword carved from the fangs of a dragon! Have you ever faced a dragon, lady Weiss? Where I come from they can can incredibly tough to bring down and ah, that sword, it truly reflects the ferocity and durability of those majestic monsters. It’s certainly a top five... No, top three hundred of my favourite swords in my collection!”
Without interruption, Siete could be going on like this for hours with bated breath.
