A : AFFECTION. how does your muse show affection?
Mae is very physical in her affection. Hugs, kisses, small touches and gestures. She loves to cuddle and rest her head on her partner’s shoulder–the small things are really important to her–both giving and receiving.
B : BOUQUET. does your muse like flowers? which ones are their favourite?
She looooooves flowers. Mae’s favorite flower is the gladiolus. But of course, she’s still a sucker for roses, daisies and the “traditional” love language flowers.
C : CHOCOLATE. does your muse like chocolate? which one is their favourite?
Mae likes chocolate, but it’s not something that’s she’ll eat a lot of in one sitting. She likes it more when it’s mixed in with something or not just straight-up chocolate. She likes dark chocolate, but not too bitter.
D : DATE. what is your muse’s ideal date? where / who with / etc?
This isn’t something that matters a lot to Mae. As long as she’s with her partner, that means a lot to her. Overall, she prefers something active–like walks–but she’ll be content with pretty much anything.
E : EMBRACE. does your muse like hugs? what are their hugs like?
Hugs are an essential part of Mae culture. You can’t be her friend or even near her without receiving a hug at least once a day. She’s an amazing hugger too, she’s got a nice strong embrace that’s (usually) not too overwhelming.
F : FLIRT. is your muse good at flirting? how do they flirt?
Mae flirts for fun and nothing else. She doesn’t see flirting as a good way to show someone you care about them and sees gestures as a better means of communication with less chance of confusion. She’s good at flirting and does so in a very teasing manner, but she never uses it as a serious means to pursue a relationship.
G : GIFT. is your muse good at gift - giving or do they struggle to get it right?
If Mae knows a person (as in they’re not a total stranger) she’s usually pretty great with gifts. She believes in practicality, but won’t sacrifice aesthetics because of that, even if it means making something herself.
H : HEART. is your muse quick or slow to give their heart away?
Mae falls in love slowly, but hard. Once she’s in, she’s in and it’s hard to even imagine a future where that person isn’t in her life in some manner. She’s not the type to push things though and is actually very cautious when it comes to entering relationships because she doesn’t want to get hurt.
I : I LOVE YOU. does your muse find ‘i love you’ easy or hard to say?
Referring to the previous post, Mae falls in love slow and hard. So once she’s in a relationship, it’s fairly easy for her to admit her feelings. Plus, “I love you” is just such a nice thing to say–and as affectionate as she is, she’ll say it often.
J : JEALOUSY. does your muse get jealous in a relationship?
Not really. She knows her partner is their own person and hopes that if something were wrong in the relationship they would talk to her about it and not go off and betray her trust. She certainly has moments of insecurity that manifest as jealousy, but overall she places a lot of trust in her partner and doesn’t get jealous.
K : KISS. is your muse a good kisser? why / why not?
With practice, yes. There wasn’t a lot of time to practice kissing when she was younger so she’s kind of…..exploring it now that she’s in a relationship. She’s a fast learner though.
L : LOVE. who does your muse love?
Gee, I wonder? Boey, obviously, though Mae did have a crush on Celica for a bit as a child.
M : MOONLIGHT. what is your muse’s ideal date? where / who with / etc?
Anywhere she can be with Boey. Whether that’s cuddling in front of a fire, walking around the monastery, or even just together on a battlefield–she cherishes any moment she can be with him.
N : NAUGHTY. what is your muse like in bed?
Energetic, in a word. Her hyperactivity does transfer to the bedroom and she has a non-insignificant amount of stamina. But she appreciates the slow and sensual the most and is very physically affectionate in terms of kisses and touches. She’ll kiss along her partner’s neck and leave little hickies where they’ll be covered by clothes, but she knows they’re there. She places a lot on her partner’s pleasure, but doesn’t expect to be left out of the fun either. If she’s not receiving, she won’t give.
O : ODE. does your muse have a way with words?
Not without planning. If she wants to say something particularly flowery and poetic, she’ll usually write it down first and figure out how she wants to say it. Otherwise, she’s very direct in her speech.
P : PARTNER. what does your muse look for in a partner? looks / personality?
Boey. But really, personality is what matters most to her. A stud muffin may be nice to look at, but Mae needs someone who’s able to keep up with her intellectually as well as physically. Despite coming off as a little ditzy at times, Mae’s actually really dedicated to her magic studies and loves being able to share that with her partner.
Q : QUESTION. would your muse ask the big question or expect their partner to?
With Boey, she expects him to ask her–not because of tradition but to make sure he wants this as much as she does. She does get anxious from time to time about their relationship and doesn’t want him to feel obligated to be with her. With other partners, it would depend on how their relationship develops.
R : ROMANCE. is your muse a romantic or a cynic?
100% a romantic. Mae grew up dreaming of love and her prince charming, especially knowing Celica was a princess, she enjoyed having those fantasies in her head. But even knowing she wasn’t going to marry some prince, Mae always knew she would marry for love and for no other reason.
S : SWEETHEART. did your muse have a childhood sweetheart?
T : TRUE LOVE. does your muse believe in true love?
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mae thinks that there’s no one who’s a better fit for her than Boey. They grew up together, know each other’s quirks and habits and are able to work in perfect sync, even if they fight sometimes. She doesn’t believe that true love is some steady path, but that you find someone you’re meant to be with and you fight to be with them for every moment of the rest of your life.
U : UNREQUITED. has your muse had their heart broken?
There were a lot of times growing up she thought that there was no way Boey would be in to someone like her and caused sort of self-inflicted heartbreak, but because of her lifestyle, Mae had never been in any relationships and never had her heart broken.
V : VALENTINE. how does your muse feel about valentine’s day?
It doesn’t really matter to her. She celebrates those she loves every day of the year, and sure it’s nice to have an excuse to make handmade sweets, but she’s always affectionate and doesn’t need valentines day as an excuse for it.
W : WEDDING. would your muse get married? why / why not?
Yes! Yes! Yes! Mae wants a big, elaborate wedding with all her friends and family, but still intimate. She doesn’t want a million people she doesn’t know, and even if she wants to hold the event in the castle in Valentia and wear a fancy dress, she doesn’t want any of it to take away from the intimacy of the event and how special the day is to her.
X : XOXO. does your muse use / like pet names?
Absolutely!!! Mae thinks they’re super adorable but also a cute way to be intimate, even in public. She’s not a huge fan of PDA (she sees intimacy as something that doesn’t need to be viewed by the public eye) but pet names are a nice way to sort of indulge that without appearing boorish or sharing her private life with the public.
Y : YOURS. does your muse get protective easily?
If there’s danger present, absolutely. Mae is a momma bear through and through and she will be the first to put herself on the line to protect her friends and family. She will fuss over little things, like cuts and bruises, but more as a demonstration of affection than over-protectiveness.
