Nova nodded. “Do not be sorry, I offered my help.” Within seconds the large man started stocking the upper shelves, taking care of her work quickly before he opened his own box and began to put the cans next to hers.

As he reached up to pull her down she immediately clung to him for dear life, clenching her eyes shut as she did. It took a few moments before she realized she was safely down and very meekly let go of him “ thank you so much” Kotyk found herself very interested in her laces as she thanked him

She really must be afraid of heights. Nova nodded when she thanked him and offered a very small smile. “..perhaps..next time..a step ladder from the back might be your best option..?”

She looked up at him sheepishly and wrung her hands “ I tried to ask for one but no one would give me one… ” Ko looked at him, her face bright pink. She couldn’t believe how much she had embarrassed herself

Large boxes of canned food in hand, Nova made his way down the aisle when a voice caught his attention. He frowned and set the boxes down before looking up at the top shelf..was she stuck..? “..do you…need assistance..?”

Eyes already watery, she had begun to panic, being up there almost half an hour now “ pleaaase help me down- please” She squeaked at him, panic still all over her

Noticing how upset she was Nova was quick to reach up and help her down off of the top shelf. Why hadn't she just grabbed a step ladder..?

“Oh so I’m not the only one confused? That makes me feel a bit better” She stuffed the offending tomato into her mouth, her small pink lips pouting as she chewed

“Very few here understand what is going on,” he admitted, finally seeming to be able to form complete sentences without stuttering..as much. “..w-what..made you want to work here..?”

She covered her mouth with a small hand as she swallowed her tomato “ oh um, its the first place that called back. And its not all too far from home…” She shrugged her small shoulders and glanced down at her watch. CRAP her lunch break was already over “ oh my god!” Immediately and very unladylike she stuffed a fork full of salad into her mouth and tossed the container half full into the fridge. Looking like a gorging chipmunk she scuttled off to clock back in and wave to nova before trying to figure out what she was supposed to be doing

The large man blinked, taking a moment to process what had just happened. Well..first day on the job, clearly she was nervous about being on time. He finished up his lunch and disposed of his trash before going back out onto the floor to stock the shelves, content with working quietly and on his own...though he did wonder where the tiny woman made off to..

She made a face as she wiped the juice off her face “ well… Everything is so oddly placed its very confusing ” Oh boy it was interesting now wasn’t it

Nova had to nod in agreement. “It is..not well organized,” he admitted. “But it is how management has asked things to be done..I do not understand why.” Then again he understood very little about what management actually did other than make their job harder.
