Relationship Status: single
Residence: residential district
Personality: Despite being blind her entire life, Sybil has a very bubbly and outgoing personality that tends to be contagious to those around her. She is typically very optimistic and always tries to see the best in every situation. Because of this, she is very kind, caring, and considerate to friends and strangers. She is a very giving person and loves to do whatever she can to help someone in need.
While she is very outgoing, she is not loud or obnoxious. And despite not being able to read facial expressions, she makes up for this through her other senses. She is just as easily able to read people through the tones and pitches in their voices. She is also able to feel tension, shyness, and other types of senses like this better than most.
She is a bit of a dreamer with no real goals or purpose in life. She spent most of her life fairly sheltered from the world, so she can be pretty naive at times and even seem to lack ambition, but what she doesn’t often admit is that she wants to find a place in the world just like everyone else.
Because she spent most of her life focused on school and ballet, she didn't have much of a social life outside of her circle of friends who shared the same interests as her. She never dated or even considered the possibility of dating, so she feels a bit insecure in new situations and about her future. She doesn't pick up on romantic feelings as well, such as flirting, etc. When she's feeling unsure with a situation, she resorts to sarcasm. She also tends to be forgetful due to her 'head in the clouds' nature and some jokes often go over her head.

Sybil grew up as an average child with an average family: two loving mothers, a father who was the sperm donor and a very close friend of her mothers, and an adoptive younger sister. Because she was blind at birth, her mother was very protective of her and she lived a fairly sheltered life.
Despite her disability, she was a straight A student. In elementary school, her parents finally allowed her to step outside of her (or their) comfort zone, and she took her first ballet class, which she continued up through high school. Ballet became her biggest passion in life and she excelled at it, wining many competitions.
After high school, she moved into the city where she went to college for four years. She excelled in her studies, graduating near the top of her class with a BA in clinical psychology. However, because of her focus on her classes, she fell out of ballet, no longer taking classes or competing.
When she graduated college, she returned home for a year, working odd jobs, but feeling out of place. She finally convinced her parents to let her leave once more to live on her own, and that’s how she came to move to Clearwell.
Sybil came to Clearwell in an attempt to become more independent, living on her own without the constant guidance and protection of her parents. Though she is new in town, she is eager to start a life for herself and make new friend.
Future: [ At least 1-2 paragraphs. ]
Sybil hopes to find a place for herself in the world. She has interest in psychology, but never continued to pursue it because she felt she wouldn’t be able to do the work she wanted to do without her sight. She also hopes to be able to get into ballet once more.
Through her entire life, she never really dated, and in fact never even really considered the possibility of herself dating or even having a family in the future. However, after living on her own for some time and seeing her friends move on with their lives, she will wonder if she should reconsider her thoughts on dating and a future family of her own.
Sybil's fingers played with the short frays to Jiji's leash. The dog lay quietly at her feet. She heard the soft sigh escape from his nose. The conductor announced their near arrival to Clearwell Town and her stomach fluttered with that familiar sensation of butterflies she used to feel before a performance; a combination of excitement and nervousness. She leaned into the seat and sighed. This was very much like her ballet performances. She would have to wow the audience - or in this case, the people in town - and leave a good, lasting impression. She was anxious to meet new people and win them over, just as she would win over the hearts of the judges. Being new in town was much like stepping onto a new stage and learning every step and crack. She felt sure she would adjust well and perform better than she ever had before.
But then again, it had been some time since she stepped foot on a stage. It had been a long time since she had danced.
She sucked in a breath as the train came to a screeching stop. The conductor announced their arrival and Sybil reached her hand out, her fingers grasping at the air until Jiji stood, the handle meeting the palm of her hand. She stood up and waited for Jiji to guide her out of the seat and through the train towards the door where a man handed her her bags. She smiled and thanked him for his help and stepped confidently off the train.
She stood on the platform and simply listened to the sounds of life around her, taking in the new experience. New sounds, new feelings, new smells - all things that helped ground her in this world and now, a new town. The settling of the train, the voices of the people moving on and off, even the wind rustling through the trees just outside of the station. A rush of smells filled her nose. Coffee somewhere in the distance, maple syrup, spring flowers, and even a hint of manure on the breeze, suggesting that farms lay just outside of town. No one else would smell it, but Sybil knew it was there.
She felt Jiji pull her forward away from the train, bringing her head out of the clouds and back into reality. She knew there would be someone waiting for her at the station; someone to guide her and Jiji through town and to their new home. She felt a sense of excitement prickle up the back of her neck, but her stomach still fluttered with a sense of nervousness. All she wanted to do was make a good life for herself, and she hoped Clearwell would be the place where she could do that.
She listened to the hiss of the train as it prepared to move out of the station. The wheels began to move and the engine creaked and groaned as it slowly moved forward, pulling its cars along with it. Sybil felt a breeze from Jiji’s wagging tail. She smiled as she heard the footsteps approach from across the station. The presence felt warm and friendly, the voice equally comforting as it welcomed her into Clearwell Town.
