Motherhood is my favorite journey I’ve embarked on. It’s only been a month of biological motherhood but it’s been so special to see my own little one growing daily, hitting milestones and showing everyone how intelligent and bright she is. She’s brought so much love and light to others already, it’s amazing to experience. I’ve had many journeys with forms of motherhood previously with being a nanny, and almost a stepmother. I’ve spent the last 6 years of my life with other people’s children wrapped around my legs but to have it for myself with my own blood; it’s the most amazing feeling I have ever had. I am so in love and my heart and life are so brilliantly full of wonder.

Losing my mind over this

Monday, June the 29th of 2020 at 5:43 PM; my daughter was born from an emergency c-section after 25+ hours of labor in which I failed to get further than 6cm. Luckily the doctor was smart in making this decision for me because of her larger size at birth, and my small size of 5’1”... well I could have had to have stitches in a much less fortunate area of my body or an undetermined time. Or I could have needed a blood transfusion.

She was born at 8lbs5oz 19.5 inches and a head full of hair.
