What was Everett and Mickeys wedding like?

🎷: It was quite the shindig, and one of Big Poff's Rest Stop's more notable public events. Folks around Stationary Hill still talk about it to this day, reflecting on how the happy couple sky-dived expertly to the front of the crowd, received the boisterous pronouncements of Goe (longtime Shearwater family friend), and then boogied full-force to the Moon Tune before galloping off into the Dunes astride Ol' Smoker to enjoy some desert camping. Classic times.

Midst tearror theory

Alright, it's theory time!

I've been thinking on how in Midst during the moon tearror, objects were affected (houses, chairs, etc), but in Unend when in the deep the fold is not affecting objects in the control room

EXCEPT, when the fold gets into the attrium and goes to Merlin, it actually impacts an object too:

The teletheric box Merlin was holding is broken after the tearror. Now it could be that when Merlin fell it also fell and broke, but we can also suppose the tearror did something to it, so the fold can impact object, so why not the stuff in the control room?

I'm starting to think that the fold uses light as "energy" to fuel the tearror. For humans, we know they emit a small amount of light

(which is probably what is brought to the extreme in the guilemoth lineage, btw)

So the fold can use that light to fuel tearror. During the Moon tearror, there was light everywhere - the fold had just been fed the mica moon and had "high energy" to fuel the tearror.

But in the depth? The fold is starved for any kind of light. When it went inside control room, it consumed the light and the poor people there, but then it no longer had any light "energy" to have any impact on object, which don't emit their own "light".

Now I'm wondering, how come some lights are fold-safe?

I think fold safe lights are just the fold’s natural food source. They don’t go all crazy and start terroring up the place because they are unbothered. It’s when they’re disturbed like when a moon falls through them or a light is too constant and bright, that’s when they get excited.

Of course in the abyss, it wasn’t that they were disturbed, it was that they were starving.

Also, was the teletheric destroyed before or after Merlin played the recording? Bc that also could have been a motivator for the fold to break it with or without the use of terrors
