Kid’s hands moved quickly, and he pressed down on the wound. Thankfully, it wasn’t too deep, but it was bad enough for him to be concerned.

“I know you aren’t comfortable with touch, but I need to put pressure on the wound, just until it stops bleeding. You’re going to be just fine, alright? We’ll get you to the infirmary and get you taken care of. It’ll be just fine, Chrona, I promise.”

Kid turned away, unable to look her in the eye. He forced his voice to be steady, even though internally, he was shaking like a leaf.

“Maka… This is hard enough as it is. Please don’t make it worse. You don’t understand - this is something that I have to do.”
