Bugs

Hey everyone! I’m still not very active on social media and such because of personal and health reasons, but I am still working on things.

I’m fully aware of the bugs, and I’m still trying to fix them. Here’s a list of issues that have been reported to me and that I’m currently working on:

Browser version: Ticket Taker tent and some animated sections freezing (This doesn’t happen on Firefox.) This is a browser compatibility issue, and I’m STILL looking for a solution. On Firefox, the Ticket Taker tent seems to work normally. As a temporary workaround, press Esc to go to the menu and then return to the game, it’ll continue exactly where you left off, just skipping the Ticket Taker animation.

Name bug on Android: Apparently, giving the player certain names is causing errors on the Android version (and in rare cases, on PC too). I’m investigating this. In my own tests, the error doesn’t happen, so I’m still analyzing what’s going on. For now, you can hit the “Ignore” button and the game will continue with whatever name you chose.

I’m also aware that some text is going off-screen on the Android version.

Continuity errors: There’s a small bug where Harlequin appears in your room when he shouldn’t. There’s also a minor issue with Pierrot’s flower and some sprites throughout the game.

If you’ve seen any issues that aren’t listed here, feel free to comment and include some details like:

Which version were you playing? (PC, Linux, Mac, Android)

Which language? (Portuguese, English, Chinese)

If it was in a browser, which one? (Chrome, Edge, Firefox)

Known issues so far:

Animations / blue tent freezing (Browser)

Player name issue (Android)

Text going off-screen (Android)

Problem with one Portuguese line (All versions)

Harlequin showing up in a route he shouldn’t (All versions)

Some sound effects not playing (All versions)

I’m investigating and working on the fixes, everyone. As soon as I get something resolved, I’ll make another post and update the files on my itch page.

I cannot remember if Neko ever answered this- didn't the circus folks start sweating when they noticed the pink ticket BEING SHOWN ON TV???? Like that's pretty incriminating evidence, and even if they proved it's a "fake one" most people would still be on their ass because of it...

These were in carols bag right? But she is still alive as a doll? Don’t the pink ticket guests usually get eaten? And it was already stamped, when it was found at the bus stop- does this mean she entered with a pink ticket and left- before being taken back again?

So there's a scene a bit later in the game, if you go to the black tent multiple times you'll get Ticket Taker mentioning it to Jester! And I think it's meant to be interpreted that for some reason the bag was accidentally forgotten there either by her or by the circus folks as well.

There's also the chance that she lost the bag somewhere else when getting taken to the pink tent and then someone randomly passing picked it up, found nothing of value and dropped it at the bus stop.

As to why her ticket is punched already, maybe she got it punched and then managed to escape briefly, before they caught up to her?

ALSO! To clarify, the pink ticket guest don't all get eaten! MC gets that ending as a dead end, but they mention the possibility of either being picked by one of the circus members for them to do whatever, or being relocated, always in that ending. Neko said we'd learn what that meant in the future, so I'm guessing that "relocated" means "brainwashed doll".

Maybe she was picked by a circus member, managed to escape them and get her stuff - taking the bus could have been an attempt to put distance and she managed to get to a stop - but they caught up to her, and she was taken back and brainwashed. And the bag with the ticket, in the unexpected mess, was forgotten there.

Just my theory though! I don't know if other routes have confirmed or denied this- I still haven't tried to start day 2 after getting drugged so that may hold some clues as well.
