Welcome to my artish page. As an early-career, academic scientist, navigating the sea of inevitable politics has been a struggle — particularly while deciding if, when, and how to share my art. This has cramped my scien/ar-tist style. I am both, and I suspect that freedom in each world will make me better at both. Regardless, I am 31 and sharing my creations with the world. Most are mediocre at best. But both in science and art, I am ready to jump in, show up, be vulnerable, and get better. Plus, I collaborate with a lot of awesome people, and I’m excited to share more of our work. Links to my music and personal page can be found in my bio. I’m currently releasing a record of archived music from 2008-2014, one song per week. They were my warmups - the kind where you don’t even know what shoes you like to run in yet. Daseina, released in 2016, is closer to a sound that feels like me. The best, if I’m lucky, is yet to come. Cynthia Klee is an artist and musician from New York City, and “Don’t Go”, kindhearted but amethyst dark, serene and strong, is the luminous debut single from her Syntherbelle project. It circles reassuringly like the moon or a yearning ghost that’s still in love.
