REAL-LIFE 1890s SUSPENSION. Around the same time that Yoshitoshi was creating wood block prints of women being suspended in Japan, Charles-Francois Jeandel was photographing real-life erotic suspensions in France. Several other suspension photos are housed at the Musee d'Orsay in Paris.
