The intention of this blog is to have a space where people can discuss differing syscourse opinions free from hate.

Submissions are open for any questions directed at those who believe something different in syscourse and any false assumptions you see about the group you are in will also be accepted. If you aren't sure if it is ok you can still send the ask. We don't want anyone holding back on good topics because they think it doesn't fit. If you wish your response to another post here to remain anonymous you are allowed to submit an anon ask just please provide enough information about the post you are replying to so that others can find it.

Although the goal of this blog is to allow others to be able to discuss controversial topics anonymously if you would like to make your identity known on any of your asks/responses in comments that is fine.

All hate in comments will be immediately deleted and the perpetrator blocked. No hate asks will be posted. With the nature of these discussions asks that seem to be offensive or from a place of ignorance may be posted as they can lead to valuable discussion.

This blog has no DNI as that kind of defeats the purpose of an open dialogue.

We plan to keep this blog separate from our others so please do not ask personal questions about our identity or beliefs on syscourse topics.

So I've seen a lot of discussion around the term "traumascum" recently. I haven't personally seen it used recently so I was wondering. For anti-endos has the term been used against you within the past year and for pro-endos do you support the term?

I see identity as what serves you. If people find utility in the plural identity and it helps them in their life, that seems legitimate to me. Identity is both to try to describe your experience to others but also to describe to to yourself.

Honestly, I really don't think it matters what someone identifies as. Let people be people. Experiencing yourself as more than one has been around since before CDDs or even the field of mental health has been formally around. It makes little sense to say everyone who experiences themselves as more than one is stepping on toes, making light of, faking, or romanticizing CDDs. Sure, maybe some are, but two things can be true at once.

I am a mixed-origin system without a CDD, as our first alter was just a traumagenic fragment that wasn’t developed until we found out what endo systems were due to the fact that we have shifts in personality but no type of amnesia, which seemed to us like our shifts might be because of our autism. I figured out I was plural through the fictionkin community and it helped me cope with different situations that have happened since.

Systems, what scientific articles are your go-tos to support your syscourse stance? What articles do you see being used that you wish weren't, for reasons other than they don't support your side? With mixed origin I want to add it's not just traumaendo. The system I'm in is mixed origin because we have brain-made headmates (as in like created by the brain) which is a rabbithole in and of itself because of our genetic neurodivergence, spiritual headmates and walk-ins that have multiple different causes, soulbonds and all that weirdness, and a few thoughtform experiences. If there's anything trauma-based we still group them under the endogenic brain-made stuff because it us it's closer to that than anything else.

There's a lot of nuance to it with trauma because trauma occurred after we were already a system, though I don't think any of us would identify as trauma-based since forming in and of itself takes months so there's not normally a direct tie to trauma even if it has an influence, and again everything brain-based just gets grouped together to us anyway. Ironically I know a few soulbonds we have that are closer to being considered adaptive because they come fully formed.

It's also worth mentioning that origin labels in general don't work for everyone. With my system we loosely identify as endogenic for syscourse and boundary reasons, but it's not super important for us to label every individual origin. Even as a soulbonder with a "subsystem", I don't even know who's psychological and who's spiritual, but I still interact with them the same because that's not what's important to my experiences.
