kabus arcanine will climb onto you while youre sitting/lying down so it can pant in your face and do nothing else
i like angst and i like friction bc i think it adds an interesting texture to things

i think 1 of the things that motivates my character writing the most is like. every person on earth has an internal logic they run on
like, we can see that people take different actions, have different character traits, etc. everything that someone does - no matter how outwardly irrational or difficult to understand it is - has a thread of internal logic that runs through it and connects it to very base parts of their worldview. nobody just does things.
i think it's really interesting, then, to think about the way different characters are and try to figure out what that thread of logic is. what has to be happening in someone's head to make them like that? what kinds of past experiences would make someone think like that? where does cognitive dissonance come from? etc etc etc. i think people are the most interesting thing in the world
idk i think it's just interesting. you can do it with every possible character trait. "this person is kind" why? why are they like that? is that a deliberate choice that takes effort? how do they genuinely think about other people? how does being kind make them feel? have they always been like that? etc

kabus arcanine delights me so bad. he has a big fluffy doggy woggy and he loves it so much
his team headcanons:
centiskorch: you know how, like. (hang on allow me to preface this by saying that i'm a reptile owner) (preface 2: I know centipedes are not reptiles but this is the most accessible example of this animal behavior i can give) anyways you know how most reptiles are, like, not social creatures at all, but they can learn to trust certain people in captivity. like it's not the same kind of social bond you would get from a cat or a dog, but it's a swag beast that's experiencing something adjacent to love/trust towards him which is almost kind of cuter. it does hate everyone that's not kabu though
torkoal: sturdy and dense as hell and loves to stand directly in your path unmoving. i think it would be hard to tip over. And it eats lettuce like a madman.
arcanine: bigggg fluffy friendly doggy woggy that loves everyone and everything. Jumps up on people no matter how hard he tries to train it not to do that. goes through a can of tennis balls a week. drools
ninetales: more catlike than anything. a little solitary, likes to hang out on its own and sleep in sunbeams. it has a little cushion/dog bed by one of the windows that it likes to sit in and watch people walk by
salazzle: evolved it, read the pokedex entries, and quietly put it in his PC box. his salazzle cannot be out at the same time as mina's because they WILL fight
