»★17.05.1990★«

On May 16, 1990, the day before the concert at Osaka-jo Hall, the last concert of the Rose and Blood Tour, Taiji went out and ended up having a motorcycle accident.

He didn't brake in time and smashed into a glass window.

Fortunately, he was rushed to the hospital, where this large wound on his arm due to the crash was stitched up (14 stitches, ouch) and the hospital staff also administered him morphine for the pain.

The doctors' verdict was that he definitely wasn't going to be able to play bass the next day; it was too risky, the wound could open back up.

Anyway, Taiji somehow managed to get himself administered a ton of morphine and played at the concert. He was too excited about it and didn't want to disappoint the tens of thousands of fans waiting for him.

He remembers that concert and venue fondly since the morphine got rid of any pain and he had a great live.
