Opinion on today's Unite patch:

No buffs for pokemon I want to play (Tyranitar, Goodra). Another Tyranitar counter (Ninetales) buffed. Meta pokemon Ceruledge, Umbreon and Pikachu not nerfed. The two mon I would've liked to play (Mamoswine and Dragapult) got nerfed.

Maybe I won't come back after all.

It's so funny and yet so sad that Unite added loot boxes about 8 years late to the hype. They didn't even learn from any of the predecessors and just released them in the worst possible way

Regarding Pokemon Worlds 2024

I think Unite has enough "cool" and "cute" holowear. We need way more "funny" holowear that can go viral on social media.

Ttar is the easiest mon to counter and yet here we are. "ttar meta".

I thought to myself "How can I have fun in Unite again?" and the answer was ttar. It has always been ttar.

With the no-EX mon season ending, I can say with certainty that this was the best ranked season thus far. There were no hyper broken pokemon which are a free win AND most of the mon are balanced.

The biggest issue I had this season was matchamking giving me bottom of the barrel teammates and the fact that tyranitar's character design is outdated with how many strong early-game characters there are (especially the eevees), but despite that, duoing and trioing with friends was really fun. :)

Let's hope the draft season will be good, too.

In the letter from the developer in which they announced the EX ban and draft seasons they mentioned they want to experiment more with ranked mode. I wonder if they will try a role queue for a season. We got five people per team and technically we also got five "roles"; attacker, speedster, all-rounder, defender, supporter.

While this would get rid of 5 attacker compositions, it would probably need reworks for some supports, because if one team has a healing support and the other has something like sableye or wigglytuff, the match is decided on the select screen.
