i drove past my ex girlfriend on the most random, isolated road in portland i’ve ever been on. i’ve seen her driving before, but this time she saw me too. i couldn’t believe she saw me. we haven’t spoken in months but she texted me the sunglasses emoji. my heart pounded for about thirty minutes after that. i wanted to hug her. i didn’t know i’d feel that way. instead of wanting to get farther away from her, i wanted to get closer to her.
