Granted Hera always looked as if someone shoved a stick up his ass, but this… Something different about it this time around. It made Nagumo curious. What could have happened to bring out such a mood out in the other on top of not wanting to talk about it? Curious as Nagumo was, he wasn’t looking to push his luck. Not so soon after meeting up.

                        “Hey man, it’s cool if you don’t want to talk about it right away. You seem a bit down about whatever it is so I won’t force you.”

He waves his hand impatiently, face smoothed back into his customary vexed-neutral expression. “Don’t mind it. What’s brought you back here? I wasn’t expecting to see you. Are you still living in Inazuma Town?”

That's an awfully familiar way to refer to someone you've just met. [face smoothing back out into disinterest, dusting off his hands.]

Oh. [shifting his hands just enough to keep her on, and then extends his hands back to you when she starts crawling up his armguard.] Here.

Just try to make sure she doesn’t crawl up your sleeve. Or bite you. [He places the spider in your hand.] And before you ask her venom is harmless unless she bites you a lot. Or you’re alregic.

It's fine, I'm wearing forearm guards. [automatically. they are just cloth, which you can see, though they still count, apparently.]

I'm aware of tarantula venom. [shutting his eyes with a muttered oath.] Tickles. [by way of explanation.]

[opening his eyes so he can make sure she doesn't fall off, though.] Even so... why in your pocket? That can't be safe. If you fall, you could crush her, right?

[He reaches into the pocket of one of his coats, and pulls out a tarantula.] 

This is princess. Hold her.

[the time when you know you've gone wrong in life-- you can actually say the sentence "one of my coats." that's just wrong.]

Eerg. [recoiling a little bit, but not as though he seems to feel she's disgusting-- more as though that wasn't what he was expecting. holds his hands out gamely, though, keeping them flat and palm up.] Sorry, I don't know how to hold her.

[Shrugs] I love animals. Wanna see Princess Fluffy?

Hm. [those grey eyes do soften some, though. becoming a little more tranquil.]

I... [shaking his head, apparently in disbelief, voice faint with it.] Yes. Whatever. Sure.

I’m gonna guess true bitterness taste bitter? Just a guess. 

Jokes on you, my bed is mostly for my pets. It’d be obvious if you were in my room because you’d leave covered in various pet dander.

[draws back a little.] That's disgusting.

Heh. [closing his eyes, with a little smirk.] A law-abiding citizen, I see.

In that case, take this. [leveling his finger at you, arms straight out, voice clear.] Harrass my Captain in any way, shape, or form, and I'll make sure you suffer a fate far worse than death. And you may count that Hera's promise to you.
