I've admired Kim Nam-gil's work for a while, from the beginning, as soon as i spotted him, I knew he was a formidable actor and this intense and touching scene is the greatest proof of this.

The actor gave up his all in this scene, everything! What an emotion, what a cry, what a whining voice! The pain seemed real, it seemed that his heart was really crushed by the weight of being a slave in such difficult times of war and status.

Kim Nam-gil knows how to cry like no one else, his eyes raise his performance to unattainable levels. They reach reddish tones and tears roll easily, their performance is simply surreal. This scene is one of the most intense I've ever watched, it managed to break my heart. Somebody give this man a Baeksang!!!!♥️
