lol, there’s never a dull moment. The fridge that came with the house was moved to the basement as a spare. Mainly used as a 2nd freezer. Found out it broke last week. The frozen fruit packs used for smoothies leaked all over the floor. I wanna know why it’s open or has holes though. I thought the bag it came in was a ziploc.

Had to throw everything away: bags of shrimp, crab cakes, crab soup, burger patties, ice cream, dumplings, frozen dinners. Lost a few cartons of eggs from the fridge. The drinks were moved up here.

I’m not happy because it’s a huge waste of food. Nothing I could’ve done to prevent it either. Even if I found out before hand, there’s no room in the fridge up here.

Yes, I did get my money back for the class, but the replacement costs more unless I get a chest freezer, losing the extra fridge for storage. It was one of those side-by-side ones. The shelves were tall enough for the huge cake boxes. It’s the only thing I liked about it.

IDK yet. Need to get the broken one out too.

The other day I went to see Fantastic Four and tell me why my mom calls during and leaves a 3 min VM saying nothing. I had to decline the call cuz it kept ringing.

And why do I even bother? Are they expecting me to sell it to them at cost? I don’t discount that way and I’m pretty sure the other ones listed are bootlegs. There’s no way anyone has the money to buy a butt ton of them and sell for like almost half the price of mine.

May hold a giveaway at the end of summer.

I went to the beach last Friday and came home Saturday. WTF did my mom text out of the blue, if I buy her moon cake, she wants so and so flavor? Greedy. Ain’t getting jack from me. My dad pulled some bull two weeks ago too. He came over when I was working and made me go afk for almost an hour. Like he has a voice and can talk. Why do I have to call his insurance for him when he has THREE other kids who don’t friggin work?

My bday passed awhile ago. I go out of my way to wish ppl a happy bday or to celebrate with them. Aside from my housemates and a coworker (not even the slow one), no one. Not my family. None of my siblings or my parents. No one blood related. One of my sisters did before the day ended, but not even the one who keeps asking me to buy crap for her.

A lot of belated or oops popped up. So glad I didn’t send anything to a previous coworker. I used to send ‘em enough to buy lunch every year, but I didn’t this year. I didn’t have to every time. They never really did anything for me in return. I was just being considerate and for all the bs they hear from me. Her reason this year was she thought she sent it. My other coworker, yeah, idk about next year.

I’m not looking for sympathy, just making a statement. It’s not like I care. It’s another day to me. It just goes to show why idgaf about a lot of things. Welp, now I know to not go out of my way anymore nor will I attend things.

Time better spent elsewhere.

The class ended yesterday. Wondering why it's taking the Professor so long to grade the SEC paper. Waiting on that to see what I got as a final grade.

Fandango CS is garbage. This isn't my 1st run in with them. The other time my gift card didn't work - never received a response. The 2nd I forgot to use a promo code and they gave me some bull about better serving me if I give them a call. Yeah, give them a call so they can say no?

This time I bought Snapple for their Fantastic Four promo, 1 pt for every $1 spent. It's 2,250 pts to get a $15 promo code. It doesn't even cover my ticket. I bought almost $48 worth just to get $30 off. I mean, I'm seeing the movie anyway, may as well get some drinks out of it.

I did do two separate transactions in case BS like this happens. But they gave me pts for the one where I got 3 packs (The line on the receipt had 3x for $23.97.), but not the one where I got other groceries with it. I just got a pack of cheese and apple juice w/ the 3 packs of Snapple. They gave me pts for 1. 😑 Yo, where's my other 1,598 pts?

Of course, I emailed them. They said I need to submit pictures of the receipt. Okay, the form only had a text box submission, how am I supposed to send pictures? I re-taking and re-sending everything after I get off work. Worst-case scenario... I bring back two packs to the store and ask them to re-ring separate transactions.

Anyway...

I can go back to writing!

LADS players… I have all 5 of the wedding cards, but only 3 outfits. Should I pull 25 more to get the 4th for Xavier? Raf is last on my list, so idc if I get his suit or not, but 75 more to get his too would be overkill. Sorry.

I already spent like ~$200 and if I need to spend, I’d rather it be on the August banner.

Why are ppl so 😒?

The company we choose can’t be the same as another’s. I chose Apple and then this guy picked Hershey. He posted about them wk 1 and 2, but for some reason he switched to mine last week and this week. And he did 2023 instead of the most current, which is 2024.

I wasn’t given a heads-up from the Professor. I don’t want to say anything either. Mine was approved. Now others gonna be like why am I copying?

Plus, he’s been complaining about the chps and hw in the forums. He has a tutor too. ??? If he read the chps, he wouldn’t be writing nonsense.

So, the guy’s last post for the class… He said he has to retake it because he didn’t like the way it was taught. Um, it’s an online course. It’s called self-learning. He literally gave up after week 4 and listed a whole bunch of certifications he’s trying to get, with CPA being one of them.

No offense, but it sounds like Accounting isn’t for you dude.

I don’t have time for this bull. HR contacted the head of my dept, asking why I didn’t go to the All-Staff two weeks ago. Since we’re all remote, the All-Staffs are mandatory, whether it be virtual or in-person. It’s ONE meeting every quarter. Unless you have a valid excuse for HR, there’s no way to get out of it. If you don’t go, you don’t get the year end bonuses. I knew someone who was let go last fall that NEVER went. I dunno what his excuse was though.

I talked to two of my colleagues during AND I posted in the chat for the icebreaker that my boss even saw. So whoever tf was the meeting organizer, didn’t enable the attendance report or whatever.

Do they need to spend the first 15-30 min doing a roll call or something? Cuz that’s what it seems like.

I should be working on my final, but instead I have this to worry about. I don’t really trust my boss when she said it’s taken care of.

Why would I not be at a meeting for work during work when I don’t have to do my actual work???

The professor gave me a 120/120 on the report. 😳

But I have a C right now cuz I started the final last night and only did 3 out of 30. It won’t update until I finish the whole thing.

Still writing my other report and PPT.

Submitted 1 paper, 1/2 a PowerPoint and 1 more paper to go. 😐

I tried to buy a used Switch game yesterday and the seller immediately msged me and said they can’t ship it due to an error on their part. Okay, so cancel the transaction?

Still no movement on it and no response from CS on the platform. I’m not taking the hit by asking for cancellation. This is why I don’t buy stuff from ppl with 0 feedback/ratings.

The bday was meh… Family got there before I did and said they woulda done reservations for us. And they got the total wrong, said it was 28 when it was really 35, so we had to squeeze in. The 3 declines said they can come for an hour because of the time change. I’m sorry I don’t have connections like they do. I’m sure if my aunt called it woulda been a different story, but still, I’m not going back again.

On another note, I’m trying to bring my dad out tomorrow and my mom said it’s for her and her grandson’s bday. I wasn’t aware of this bday celebration and she had her Mother’s Day. Plus, why she trying to invite my sister too? I only know cuz my sister texted me.

I’m about to call my dad to make sure he knows.

One month in, one month to go. The class is 😑. It’s the report and project I have to do. I’ll be glad to be done with it until winter or next year.

So I planned a bday get together for this weekend… What spacious restaurant doesn’t take reservations?

I called them, this past Monday. It took them forever to answer the phone. I know for a fact they aren’t/weren’t busy on Mondays midday after lunch time for the type of restaurant it is.

Proceeded to tell him how many ppl, 32. Lucky I didn’t say 35 cuz 3 couldn’t make it. Then the guy had an attitude problem when I told him what time.

We don’t take reservations for noon because we’re busy and it’s Father’s Day.

Father’s Day is on the 15th, NOT the 8th.

He said some bs about only opening or after 1.

So he’s saying they’re gonna have food ready at opening???

I didn’t change the time, but I told everyone I’ll be there at 11 to secure seating and if they can, to come earlier.

Least to say, they lost me as a patron because I won’t be returning after Sunday. There are two closer to where I live. It’s what my sister and another family member said too.

One place doesn’t have much options. Don’t want ppl complaining there’s nothing to eat. The other went thru management change and they didn’t remodel so the place is like falling apart. I may give the latter a try for the next bday on a smaller scale.

I’m hesitant to give discounts to first-time buyers. One they don’t rate me. Two they take advantage and expect it every time afterwards. Plus, $7 off is pretty steep compared to others selling it for $30+. I saw one for $45. I was only buying 2 and somehow I ended up with 5. It’s my mistake.

I’d consider it if they were buying $100+ worth of items. Even then, it depends on what it is. Not to mention, this platform charges almost 15% in fees (item, shipping, and tax) and listing cost.

They ended up buying it, so what’s up with this budget bs?

I wanted to share this. I'm sorry if this happens to be you, but this is unreasonable. I showed it to my friend and she's like, so they want you to give them a free item???

The rosette has its price listed on the picture. If you don't know, do the research before sending lowball offers. Both items had a buying fee, a shipping charge to the warehouse, AND it cost $$$ to be shipped to me.

I know the rosette is no longer available. I didn't get a discount buying either.

Brand new. Unused. Unopened. Why would I sell them for $30??? The amount they offered is LESS THAN what I paid for the rosette itself. Pretty ballsy to take $27.50 off, giving yourself an almost 50% discount. I'm still debating whether to block. I also have to pay $7 in seller fees at listed price and packing/shipping supplies are not free.

I did not respond to them. If there's an option to turn off offers, I would. It's not just listed in my profile. It's also on every item's description that I don't accept offers.

My parents' water heater broke AGAIN. I believe the last time it happened was last year. If it breaks again so soon, don't you think it's time to buy a new one? Their lifespan is 5-10 years. Even if they bought it new when they moved in, it's been 15+ years.

My mom calls me during work, asking for my opinion if the board should be changed out. First off, did a professional tell you it's the board? She's like all I want to know what you'd do. IDK and IDGAF. This isn't my trade specialty. It's why there are electricians and plumbers out there. Then she asked if someone can go take a look, help out. I said ppl are working and she goes off saying I'm useless, etc.

I hung up on her. She just disinvited herself to Mother's Day brunch. It's okay. I didn't take her out last year because a relative's GMa passed away. My mom was all saying it's not right, etc. Time of mourning > Mother's Day.

I already have two houses to take care of. I don't need to take care of another, especially when it's going to be my brother's. Who you calling useless when your son is at home doing jack shit?

Mind you, they're both retired and have the money to spend, but they won't. A friggin water heater costs $550. A relative is a licensed electrician. He even told them it needs to be replaced and offered to come install it when they have it and my mom wants to fix the board??? My dad called me the other day when I was in the theater, asking if I could go take a look. ??? Who do I look like to you? My sister is asking if she could come over to shower again. I don't really care, but it's an inconvenience. I should let her use the shower in the basement. Then if I recall, my other sister said my mom was complaining awhile back that she won't be able to spend all her retirement money.

I know there’s no explaining accounting to non-accounting ppl, but there’s no need to use a hostile tone in emails. And I never said “calendar” fiscal year. If the company ran on a calendar year, I wouldn’t have said fiscal to begin with.

This is all over rebate payments a company owes us. I told them I couldn’t post to ‘24 anymore in case their boss(es) asked. The books are closed and given to the auditors. Trust me, they will ask.

The person also dropped the ball on an August email that was sent to them, and them only, with ‘24 Q2 numbers from the same company. No one was notified. I kept my mouth shut and didn’t point this out. So, what’d they do with the original email?

One of their coworkers was like what’s with the attitude. Short tones. Disrespectful. It’s how they are.

I’m sorry, but I’m not thick skinned when their replies make me look stupid, like idk wtf I’m doing. My work ethic is in no way similar to the people whose job responsibilities I inherited.

All I know is they burned their bridge with me and I will find a way to bring this up with my old boss.

Yes, I know I'm overdue on posting. I haven't been on my computer much. This is coming from my work comp.

Audit time. 😑

I've been watching dramas: two done, on the 3rd. I may re-watch 2 others where I stopped at the 3rd to last episode. I haven't finished WTPR either.

I missed two fam bdays. One, I wasn't feeling well, kept sneezing and runny nose. No fever. Not flu. I know it's been going around. The other bday, I had to baby-sit. It was an 8PM one and an 80s theme.

Saw Captain America 2 weeks ago. If only they put this much effort into the next phase. Debating on Thunderbolts.

I owe $9.5k in taxes. Effin interest on CDs and self-employment.

My old boss wants me to get my CPA which means I need to finish my 2nd degree. If not for work, do it for myself, said I'm still young. Two degrees, a minor, and a CPA? 🤔 Honestly, I rather do that than to take a rando course for Excel or Power BI. I may do a summer one since I missed the spring deadline already. I can't do fall because of invoicing. Work will pay for it (C or better). I got an A in the last and I have to cover the tuition for each class upfront. I don't know if I want to commit.

And yes, I was moved to the new person in January. Set off a red flag when I tried to ask for time off and they asked what it's for, when I didn't put a reason in the comment box. I wasn't aware I had to share why I'm taking off. Why is it called Paid Time Off then? I took off for dentist and stuff. So what am I supposed to put when I just don't want to work that particular day? I need a day in March and a few in April. Prob put mental health.

Logging off. Took half day. Have to clean and downsize my collection.
