how to filter fics on ao3

hi friends! we have a pretty full inbox right now, and we are working on getting out the current asks to all of you. for thanksgiving weekend, we will be closing the askbox. 

AO3 Comment of The Day has a tutorial on how to filter through fics to help appease any searches for fics while we’re away.  

you have the option to include tags, exclude tags, or search for a phrase. common tags people use are “friends to lovers”, “proposal/engagement”,  “demon shane”. you can also exclude certain tags, like squicks/kinks that aren’t for you.

if you can’t find something in there, the “search within results” option will also pull up certain words or phrases. 

please consider our FIC FOUND tag, our REC LISTS, and NOMINATIONS for a slew of good fics.

No videos lately because my beautiful laptop is poorly and I honestly feel like I've lost my right arm.

If she doesn't show any signs of life in a few hours I'm taking her to the hospital, aka the apple store. I just need to go through my basement and find her apple care papers.

I know it's kind of scary how reliant we are on technology, and while I can access work and emails from my ipad, this laptop was a gift I bought myself for getting into university at a time when nobody else made the achievement feel special, and I feel a fondness for it that goes beyond functionality.

VLD TROPES FEST IS BACK!

The VLD Tropes Fest is a fic and art fest centered around popular tropes! Creators are challenged to produce works based on popular fandom tropes. Art and Fiction welcome! This is an all-inclusive event open to all creators and pairings. The list of tropes we’ve gathered are a mix of time-honored cliches that we all know and love, as well as some Voltron-specific tropes that have cropped up in increasing popularity since the first season of the show. Participants are encouraged to use additional tropes not on the list and to interpret these tropes however they would like!

Timeline

Sign Ups: September 22 - October 6

Check-In #1: October 28 (Optional)

Check-In #2: November 10 (Mandatory)

Posting Period: December 3 - December 16

FICS NOW REVEALED! + survey

Go forth, everyone, and read all the wondrous new content! We had 33 amazing authors participate in this event, and there are even several multi-chapter works that have been brought about as a result of the wonderful prompts they were given! We didn’t even need anyone to pinch hit, though I thank those who signed up to do so as well! This was a very successful event and it wouldn’t have been possible without all of you. ❤

Remember, if you participated, THANK YOUR GIFTER! They wrote something just for you, so the least you can do is leave them a nice comment. ❤
