[ HISTORY ]
Sehun, like most young recruits, had joined the PPDC as a hopeful youth looking for glory, fame, and a way to serve the cause. What he’d gotten in return was darker, and much messier.
His older brother by three years, Shin, joined before him. As usual, he set the bar so high Sehun couldn’t hope to follow in his footsteps. With one of the cleanest drop-kill simulation scores to date and a soldier mentality, everyone saw Shin as an up and coming star of the Jaeger battle front. The only thing Shin was missing was a drift compatible partner.
That’s where Sehun came in.
Sehun dropped everything to become his older brother’s other half - school, friends, and the possibility of a relatively normal life. It was the first time his parent’s had seemed proud of him; the first time Sehun had ever stepped out of Shin’s shadow and become important in his own right.
With the path to stardom laid out in front him, Sehun began life as a trainee. And struggled. He was weak in hand to hand combat, and couldn’t seem to build the same muscle mass the rest of the trainees had packed on naturally. He didn’t have a soldier’s mind, and hated the soldier's life of early wake up calls and taking orders. However, Sehun was clever and had a talent for strategy. Where others rushed in and tried to be the hero, Sehun waited and calculated and delivered a swift and effective kill.
But Sehun wasn’t brave, and his own cowardice would haunt him for a lifetime.
A kaiju attack devastated his hometown along the coast of California during the weeks leading up to his brother’s inevitable promotion to Ranger. Shin, along with a good deal of the other trainees, went on foot to aid the fight against the monster. Sehun curled up in the basement of his house and hid instead. Shin died that night.
His parents never forgave him for not fighting alongside his brother. And Sehun, being the coward he is, ran from their scornful looks and disgusted expressions.
He asked for a transfer to the Shatterdome in Hong Kong with the intention of starting fresh and never looking back. But even now, a good year and a half later, Sehun still feels like he’s living in Shin’s shadow. However, trainee life is all he knows and dropping out of high school has left him with little job opportunities. As a result, Sehun persists towards becoming a Ranger.

Sehun’s hair is bleached blond, almost white, and he has the tendency to change his hair color fairly often.
