backtalker, hm? (/Ā thereās a distinct quirk to the brow, where junmyeon feigns a heavier shroud of annoyance than he actually feels. but that obviously doesnāt scare this kid away. however itās still enough to have him shudder in trepidation. ) ā (/ the truth is, junmyeon, orĀ suho, isnāt known for a short temper. itās nonexistent actually. he doesnāt have the drive for anger to even ignite in his system. so he does wonder justĀ what people shake in fear from⦠haha, no thatās a [ sadistic ] joke, he knows exactly why they tremble in his face. ) at least youāve learned something today, kid. (/ he laughs with heaven singing in his voice, and it relays to every following syllable that expels from his lips ā ) but brats have learned itās best to know that before they even learn their a-b-c's. (/ the tone of junmyeon's voice sinks into baby talk, his facial expression follows suit, expressing concern that's unmistakably faked. he's mocking him. ) are you sure you still want to sit with a grownup, love?
['sehun feels his cheeks flush, feeling oddly small as suho labels him a backtalker -a fucking backtalker; is suho his fucking dad or something? he straightens his shoulders and narrows his eyes, trying to ignore the blotchy red he knows has bloomed over his face and is working its way down his neck to his collarbones. rockstar or not, suho isn't about to humiliate sehun in front of everyone (and many people have, embarrassingly enough, turned to watch them for some meal time entertainment). at least not more than he already has] Kid? ['sehun repeats with disbelief coloring his tone. he's pretty sure suho is at least a few inches shorter than him, and sehun feels that that fact alone should somehow give him an edge - even if suho can best him in a fight and more than likely break his arm three different ways. sehun is definitely not sure he still wants to sit down, but there's no way in hell he can back down now] I didn't know grownups needed booster seats to see over the edge of the table. ['he mumbles, sliding his tray to the side before taking a seat next to suho's feet against his better judgement]Ā
ā split me ā
(/ the serrated edge of his steak knife drags across the plate, separating the greens from the mashed potato, the mashed potato from the rump steak, the rump steak from the greens. junmyeon still frowns though ā the meat overlaps the invisible boundaries of its allocated third. he trims it down meticulously, and now heās left with a commensurate pie graph of lukewarm food. cold food doesnāt bother him as much though ā it was shit to begin with. at least it looks nice now⦠as long as he doesnāt touch it. ) ⦠(/ he tentatively prods at a pea with a fork, making sure to not to disarrange the dishās shape. thatās when he hears the sharpĀ clack of a tray slapping the opposite side of his cafeteria table. his eyes upturn into happy crescents even before checking to see who had joined him ā or is tryingĀ to ā ) sorry, but this seat is taken, (/ outstretching his legs, he props his feet on the opposite seat before his visitor has the chance to take it. suho's renowned eye-smile remains plastered across his mien ā ) by me.
['his hands might be shaking a little as he grips the sides of his cafeteria tray and approaches suho's empty table. it's better than his other options, which include a table full of trainees who beat on him regularly during combat practice and another table of unfriendly looking rangers. at the very least suho looks friendly, even if the rumors state otherwise. plus, sehun might be a fan; suho is a rockstar of the monster slaying world, afterall. starstruck as he is, sehun still tries to play it cool as he slaps his tray down on the side of the tableĀ opposite of suho - and promptly gets told off with the sweetest smile sehun's ever seen] You don't look sorry. ['he replies before he can think to put his foot in his mouth - jesus fuck, you idiot. suho's still smiling, and sehun starts to sweat]
ABOUT
ā£Ā April 12, 2006 [19 years old]
ā£Ā American-Korean
ā£Ā Trainee
[ HISTORY ]
Sehun, like most young recruits, had joined the PPDC as a hopeful youth looking for glory, fame, and a way to serve the cause. What heād gotten in return was darker, and much messier.
His older brother by three years, Shin, joined before him. As usual, he set the bar so high Sehun couldnāt hope to follow in his footsteps. With one of the cleanest drop-kill simulation scores to date and a soldier mentality, everyone saw Shin as an up and coming star of the Jaeger battle front. The only thing Shin was missing was a drift compatible partner.
Thatās where Sehun came in.
Sehun dropped everything to become his older brotherās other half - school, friends, and the possibility of a relatively normal life. It was the first time his parentās had seemed proud of him; the first time Sehun had ever stepped out of Shinās shadow and become important in his own right.
With the path to stardom laid out in front him, Sehun began life as a trainee. And struggled. He was weak in hand to hand combat, and couldnāt seem to build the same muscle mass the rest of the trainees had packed on naturally. He didnāt have a soldierās mind, and hated the soldier's life of early wake up calls and taking orders. However, Sehun was clever and had a talent for strategy. Where others rushed in and tried to be the hero, Sehun waited and calculated and delivered a swift and effective kill.
But Sehun wasnāt brave, and his own cowardice would haunt him for a lifetime.
A kaiju attack devastated his hometown along the coast of California during the weeks leading up to his brotherās inevitable promotion to Ranger. Shin, along with a good deal of the other trainees, went on foot to aid the fight against the monster. Sehun curled up in the basement of his house and hid instead. Shin died that night.
His parents never forgave him for not fighting alongside his brother. And Sehun, being the coward he is, ran from their scornful looks and disgusted expressions.
He asked for a transfer to the Shatterdome in Hong Kong with the intention of starting fresh and never looking back. But even now, a good year and a half later, Sehun still feels like heās living in Shinās shadow. However, trainee life is all he knows and dropping out of high school has left him with little job opportunities. As a result, Sehun persists towards becoming a Ranger.

Sehunās hair is bleached blond, almost white, and he has the tendency to change his hair color fairly often. Heāll often be seen sporting outlandish hair colors that range anywhere from pink to rainbow, depending on his mood. He can also be seen in a variety of snapbacks, which he collects.
