Lucky on the left is actually the younger sibling. He had evolved before he was given his everstone collar. His spikes have actually been shaved down.
Rea on the right is older, but obviously still as her everstone. Neither are aware of the reason why she's still a Riolu.

"...Rea?"
The Riolu couldn't help a small groan, as she knew what was about to be said. "Yes?"
"I'm hungry."
"I know Lucky."
There was a moment of quiet as the two walked before there was a small whimper from the Lucario. "Rea?"
"I know! You're hungry! And tired! And stinky!" Okay the last one wasn't necessary but he was getting on her nerves. The two of them didn't know what in the world they were doing. They were used to a human serving them direct meals, not having to scavenge for their own. Not to mention finding safe places to sleep. This was all so new and frustrating.
"I was just going to ask if we could take a break from walking..."
Loud sigh from the sister. "Yeah, okay."
