Flashman would foresee a car running a red light and hitting a dragon-themed robot three yards from him. Wyvern was oblivious to the danger as he strolled along the crosswalk.
Flash found no comfort in that foresight, finding himself approaching the creature in his vision and pausing them from walking with a brief touch on their shoulder to get their attention. “Pardon me, but could you give me directions?” he inquired.
Leaping over a large building Shade fumbled the landing and tumbled across it, sliding to a stop on her side before she could sit up. Looking out to the city she slowly stood up, wobbling a little.
She needed to find materials to repair herself and soon or else ..
“Shade.” fuck..
She turned to the call of her name to see someone standing there she had not seen in years, Flashman. Wearing his armor. She growled lightly upon seeing her old handler, fist shaking. “Stand down and come with me and no one else needs to die.. Or get hurt.” he ordered, watching how she moved.
“Get out of my way or I’ll make that child an orphan.” she threaten with a short snarl. “You’re out of your prime.. You’re outdated, out matched..” Flash frowned lightly as he held his buster arm.
“While that is true, you aren’t a spring chicken yourself Shade. Almost ten years old now, aren’t you? But age isn’t the thing here .. You need to stop this and turn yourself in while you can. There isn’t anyone else here that’ll give you a chance to speak .. They’ll kill you.” Flash tried to reason but by now he knew it was false hope to try and talk her down. He knew her that long.
All he could do was plead .. Before it would get dirty.
“You didn’t give two shits before about who I killed .. Until it became personal.. So who? Who made you take up arms against me?” Shade pressed, her blade being palmed by her hand. Flashman stood there silently for a moment, inhaling a breath.
“Triage, she was someone Shara liked a lot. She doesn’t know what you did .. I don’t have the heart to tell her.. And I will not let her be associated with you, the monster you will become.” his stance shifted a little, he didn’t want to do this. He truly didn’t, this SWN was still family. But did she view him the same?
“You too loved her, didn’t you?” Shade’s eyes narrowed upon seeing the change of his expression, his head slowly shaking. “It doesn’t matter what I felt for her.. What does matter is stopping you from killing more innocent people and machines.”
Flashman steeled himself upon seeing the deranged like laugh leave Shade’s body “Stop me?! What makes you think YOU can?” Her words were soon met with Flash’s form vanishing, a harsh blow had been delivered to her stomach by the timebot before she was sent back, crashing into the next building from the force.
Shade pulled herself out of the debris with a grunt like snarl before jumping back onto the same building as Flash and taking a slash at him with her jagged energy blade, each swing was dodged by either his own movements or time’s abrupt stop and continuation.
Soon her buster got involved, taking shots at him that he’d deflect with moving her arm away or dodging with time. He never reached the skill of hand to hand combat like she did but he always did fair well.
Grabbing her arm he slung her over his shoulder and slammed her into the pavement of the roof, hearing it crack and cave slightly under the force and weight. With a lost breath Flash placed his boot on her chest in hopes of keeping her there. “Stay down .. This doesn’t have to end badly.”
Snarls began to pick up as Shade began trying to lift his boot while he continued putting pressure. Flash could see glimmers of red sneaking their way into her eyes before he was flung off with a roar like shout.
Stumbling back he had no time to recover before punch after punch was dealt to him by Shade, each one denting armor or breaking it. It was all winding up to the final hit.
Reeling her fist back Shade gritted her teeth, her markings turning a black color one Flash had not seen her use before, whatever it was he needed to get out of the way of. Yet he found he could not time stop. Had his energy run out that quickly?!
He was forced to watch Shade’s buster form and panels on it open up and shift until little holes could be seen, eight to be exact. With a feral shout she threw the punch at his chest and what sound came next created silence. The sound of plasma shots.
Flashman fell over, his armor disengaging as his offline body hit the ground. Wide eyes losing their color while Shade stood there panting. The damage rendered him offline but repairable. He’ll be back eventually.. The black markings left her features, returning to their brown color before her buster disengaged and she held that arm with a small hiss of breath.
Walking over Flash’s body she glanced back at him "Flash .. I..” before she could speak further the sound of sirens caught her ears meaning it was time to go, running to the edge of the roof she jumped off it onto the next. Soon leaving sight as she raced away from the damage she caused.
Not even her former handler could pull her back from this ..
