merrill's greatest fault has always been her pride. she takes pride in her knowledge, her kindness, her prowess with magic, pride in her dedication to her people and what she believes in.

✑ describe something they like without naming it
the warmth on her skin makes her smile. bare foot; she’s free here. the air is light, refreshing. it smells of freedom. it smells like home.
from this drabble-
once in a long while, merrill 'sees' tamlen and mahariel, whether it be hallucinations (from being overtired, etc) or simply mistaking someone for them. it happens more often when alone than when out with hawke and co. she does eventually explain it to hawke, but after that she keeps herself from mentioning it, even if she is in their company.
merrill greatly misses them both.
Flowers + Headcanon! (oh my goodness please excuse my stupidity! ;//u//;)
psssh it's totally fine, i misread it the first time too.
i was trying to think of a rough paragraph to write for this, about merrill liking flowers (even the ones considered weeds) and whatnot, but then i realized the most important thing about this is flower crowns for everyone.
[ headcanon: thunder ]
merrill finds the sound of thunder to be calming, most nights. she'll just sit and listen, enjoying the rumbling sounds mixed with rain. there comes a point where the storms are too violent and the thunder too loud for her comfort. the louder cracks make her jump, and she has to find ways to occupy herself. this, usually, is reading tomes and other books.
