Review: Very upbeat and gay, so there’s no shortage of fun, but there are hints of disabilities and issues that will greatly impact the series later ! I wanted to give a face to depression and abandonment issues to give the reader something to relate to, but also happy themes like security and friendship. Strings of Fate is an LGBT+ coming of age story that i’ve dedicated well over a year to and i hope that people find comfort it !

Review: Do you all remember waking up on Saturday mornings, plopping in front of the TV and watching your favorite cartoons? Did one of those favorite cartoons just so happen to be Sailor Moon? Well, replace all of the main girls with guys, but keep the glitter and magic, and you've got Shounen Fight. There's a lovely cross-dresser, a designer savant, a stoic archer with an adorable secret, and in the middle of all the crazies is Mike. I would read this comic just for Mike's reaction to the team's antics. Oh, the situations that he gets into. The comic is more than that though. There's actually plot to go with the funny! The comic is pure comedy so the romances sort of get pushed to the back burner which is sad, but I was laughing so hard that I didn't notice much. Oh yes, and Mike, the MC, is straight. Not "straight at the moment" straight either. But there are other gay characters. So this is really a borderline slash/yaoi or whathaveyou comic. Personally, I think the outfits and glitter make up for any lack of slash. (Original Post)

And it works. I really loved this fic. Almost all the characters are well rounded, even the villains are sometimes shown on a good light, or have certain reasons to drive them to do their evil deeds (aren't evil for the heck of it). I really liked the MC and his outlook, and how he holds his own and doesn't roll over even though he is obviously the weakest link in the entire group. (Original Post)
