The Magnetite Twins!
The Twins are the remaining pieces of Magnetite, having formed from the perfectly split pieces of her gem. “North” is the gem that regenerated from the top half of Magnetite’s gem while “South” regenerated from the bottom half. They are polar opposites, exhibiting the extreme sides of Magnetite’s personality. North is the more reserved twin while South is... intrusively outgoing. They have a poor relationship with one another, often arguing and nitpicking each other’s flaws.
The Twins do not remember their time as Magnetite but retain a mistrust of other Gems because of Magnetite’s rage over Black Opal’s betrayal. If the two attempt to fuse, they will form the original Magnetite. She retains the Twins’ experiences with their human caretaker and seems to be softening as a result. But because the Twins do not get along well, their time as the original Magnetite is often brief. Like the original Magnetite they do not have a weapon, instead having the ability to control magnetic fields. Their powers are much stronger when they have a physical link to one another than if each twin attempted to use the ability alone.
