just a heads up re: ac valhalla, for your blacklisting pleasure!

i’m gonna say it, because you know i have to do it to ‘em:

- it’s not okay to vague post about people. even if you delete it once you calm down, this is a community; it’s not a place to run others off.

- it’s not okay to engage in callout culture. it’s highly possible the person making the callout is a third party and only getting part of a story when they make their post. the person their post is about is getting hurt.

- it’s no one’s place to talk about someone out of character that they have never met nor have any inkling of the person behind the screen. if you can’t be bothered to get to know someone outside of their muse, you don’t have to follow them. you don’t have to engage with them, but you definitely shouldn’t be talking about them.

- taking actual time to get to know someone can be very helpful in a community. no, you don’t have to be everyone’s friend, but i’m a million percent sure if you take the chance to talk to the person you think you don’t like, you’ll see they’re probably nothing like the person you’ve made up in your mind.

- it’s not okay to play the victim when you’re told that something you did hurt someone else’s feelings.

- it’s not okay to talk about people you’ve never interacted with for the sake of being friends.

- it’s not okay to shame people for slow/selective responses.

make good choices. make nice choices. don’t feed into drama when there doesn’t have to be any.

Y'all, we're better than this. Sending hate doesn't make you cool or get you noticed. It doesn't resolve an issue, but it does hurt the person you send it to.

Next time you consider anonymously sending hate, ask yourself: Would I say this to their face? Would I say this to anyone in my everyday? Would I tell someone I respect I did this?

If you answered no to any of those questions, don't do the fuckin thing.
