I'm hoping to start a training regiment soon, but I think I may be going about it in the wrong way... Time management seems to be the issue. I'm never completely sure how much time I should devote to one thing/exercise or another. Could Nidai offer any advice for me?
I'm glad that you're serious about this training regimen, but let's get down to business.
For any training regimen to be successful it must be consistent. For example it's best to do say two hours every day a week instead of doing 4 hours one day and 6 the next to make up for lost time. The irregular amount of work puts strain on your body and is unhealthy.
If you wonder which exercises you should focus on then you have to look at yourself and your personal situation. Say you have an hour of exercise you should try to spend an even amount of time on each exercise with just a little bit skewed to muscle you particularly want to work. After say a month of that regimen switch it up to focus on another muscle or skill. Also remember you should warm-up before your exercising and stretch after you were done.
But whatever you do I wish you the best of luck!
