@multipleoccupancy . elrond gets a visit from the daughter of sauron
Salome had rejoiced on the day her father perished. (Or so she had thought, anyway.) But his spirit had remained, without shape but perfectly capable of casting his dark shadow over Middle Earth. She had watched him from a distance, her resentment and hatred growing stronger every day -much like his influence. She had hoped, foolishly, to be rid of him.
If one wanted something done right, clearly they had to do it themselves.
It was what Salome thought to herself as she fled Mordor, leaving behind the scorched earth, poisoned by her father's hatred. Her resentment, however, had nothing to do with the many atrocities he had commited. Salome was neither soft nor gentle herself. Her resentment was personal. It had brewed silently over the centuries, festering inside her heart.
She had traveled to Rivendell, and while the elves had not exactly welcomed her with open arms, she was granted a meeting with Elrond anyway.
"Surely you must know that the Nazgûl have returned," she said in place of a greeting. The gravity of the situation was hardly an excuse for her rudeness -Salome always behaved that way. Like a petulent princess, powerful but entitled. Still, the urgency was warranted, she thought. "My father's influence is growing stronger every day."
This was a cry for help. But Salome was a proud woman. Asking for anything, even assistance, did not come easy to her. "What are you doing to try and stop him?" she asked instead.
