Egg grabs the girl by the arms and quickly moves her out of the way of an incoming sword. “Emily okay?” They ask, but before she could respond, he turns back to the knight who now had them as their target. 

Everything was chaos. And it was all Ben and Mal’s fault. Opening the barrier for everyone was perhaps the most reckless and stupidest idea since the Beast banishing every villain and their kids to the isle. The Villains and their children wanted revenge, and rightfully so. Being kept to live in extremely poor conditions, living off of the Auradonian’s trash. Really, what did they expect?

Swiping his scythe at the knight who’d almost maim their friend, Egg is thrust into a fight. Looking back every so often to make sure Emily was safe and no other knights or guards where after her. The knight was sloppy, inexperienced almost-- surprisingly-- that their duel doesn’t even last more than a minute before the other is beheaded.

Ensuring they were in the clear, Egg runs back to Emily, takes her hand and leads her to safety. “Emily okay?”

When Egg heard of Emily’s disappearance, they knew almost immediately she was in some kind of trouble. She wouldn’t just up and leave without telling him, would she? Though they could understand if the reason for her leaving was that she needed some space. But no, this was different and Egg was sure of it. Though it took them weeks to track down her location, it was all worthwhile as their hunch was correct. Egg had only hoped it wasn’t too late.

At having finally found the cell she was in, they breathe a sigh of relief. Albeit exhausted from having fought guards and going through doors, Egg musters the energy to swing his scythe and free her from her chains. At her question, he smiles, “Has Emily been here too long she has forgotten her faceless friend? Though Egg can hardly blame her, everyone here wore black. They stole Egg’s brand.”

“Egg didn’t hurt anyone!” They explain. “-- At least not badly.” The scythe is hidden from her view as it drips with blood. “It’s... complicated?”
