I’m Sorry! {Shison & Jungkook}

Shison rubbed his tired eyes, ignoring the pain in his backside. His butt and lower back felt like cinder blocks had been thrown at him. Whoever the boy had bumped into had really done some damage. Whimpering, the boy looked up, getting ready to  apologize for having bumped into someone one. It wasn’t unusual for Shison to bump into people. 

The kid walked around like he was in his own world half the time. His mind was always up in the sky, thinking of new desserts or new places to do his little photo shoots. Some times he was even looking for something to draw. Lately inspiration had been low. Bunny had been busy with work and Taesun leaving Shison to himself. He did not want to get in his friend’s way. 

His mouth opened as if he was about to speak, but no words came out. Instead he was fumbling for his phone. With thumbs like lead, Shison typed out an apologetic message. “I’m sorry for bumping into you. I should really look where I am going more often. Are you okay?”

Oops {Junmyeon & Shison]

Junmyeon’s speech was fascinating and so was his mouth. The way that his lips would move as he spoke drew Shison in just as much as the man’s words did. Junmyeon, in the young boy’s eyes, spoke like a fairy tale. Not everyone did that now. Of course Junmyeon was only speaking formally, but in Shison’s young mind the older male spoke like a knight. 

When Shison had been in Seoul to study that passed year, Junmyeon had been one of the people he had met. Not many of the acquaintances he made stayed in touch. In fact none of them had, Junmyeon included. 

They two of them had met are a bookstore during that year. Shison, as usual was walking around the manga section. With his disability the simplicity of the books worked better with his mind. He could sit down and read a manga novel without his brain struggling to understand the words. Junmyeon had been in another section, but somewhere along searching for their desired books they two bumped into each other. The two of them continued to bump into each other until some kind of weak friendship had formed. 

Currently, Shison was staring intently at Junmyeon as the other male spoke to him. They had run into each other, yet again, at a bookstore and were now sitting in Shison’s favorite park. Whether or not Junmyeon had noticed the younger staring at his mouth so intently, Shison did not know or care. It was moments like this he wished he could hair. Sounds were hard for him to imagine, but he knew adjectives and Jumyeon’s voice had to be those good adjectives people always said.  

Slowly, he had started to inch his body closer to the talking male. By this point Shison’s mind was running elsewhere and Junmyeon’s words were in the background. Inch by inch the boy was getting closer to Junmyeon’s lap; he wanted to be in the man’s lap. Junmyeon always made him feel clingy. All the little parts of Shison wanted Junmyeon to spoil him and pay attention to him. One year later and that had not changed. In a matter of minutes Shison was on his lap and playing with the shiny pendent that he always remembered Junmyeon wearing. One again, fascinated like a small child.

Scream {Mark & Shison}

This could not be happening again. He had been so careful and so cautious when it came to dealing with other people. Every conversation, even in interactions at the shop, was brief and polite. Shison had closed almost every stranger off. Over time if a regular proved to him he could be relaxed, the boy would extend a little more of his trust, but mostly there wasn’t any. Somehow...he had messed up. Along the way there had been a miscalculation. 

Tears burned his eyes as he struggled in vein, jerking and pulling in every which way. There were too many hands on him. It hurt, it hurt to feel each man’s hands touching his flesh. The contact was like an intense burn and he couldn’t shake of the feeling. His clothing was tugged, ripping in the process, only causing Shison to panic further. More hands touched the newly exposed skin. He screamed, feeling his throat vibrate, and kicked at the nearest man. 

If he could hear, the sounds of cruel laughter and cackling would sound through his mind like a thunderclap. Cruelty seemed to be following him everywhere he went. It was an inescapable force. His throat closed up even though he tried to scream for help once. All of the air in his lungs evaporated. The air around him seemed to burn and crackle. Black spots danced in his vision as Shison slowly began to realize that a thick arm was clasped around his small neck, cutting off his airway, enabling him to scream. Someone had to be around. Someone had to be seeing this. Croaking, he tried again, pushing himself back against once of his captors, taking in a big rush of air and screaming.

Onii! [Himchan & Shison]

He was late. Shison was very late. Being late rarely happened on his part. People often looked down on the small boy simply because he was deaf so he made it his goal to always be on time for everything. He wanted to show others that just because he was impaired didn’t mean he was useless. Himchan would never look down on Shison, but that didn’t make Shison feel like him being late was alright. Even if there was a valid reason, he never wanted to be late.  

Jumping over a delivery boy’s fallen bicycle, Shison turned on the corner of a busy street, narrowly missing a young couple on an afternoon stroll. The art gallery was just up ahead. He could see it right there. His legs were burning now and his chest hurt. Hard physical labor wasn’t Shison’s strong point and running a little over half a mile was already tiring him out, but he had to get there. It was supposed to be a busy weekend. There were a lot of tasks that needed to be completed in a short time period. 

“O...Onii-san!” Shison cried, pushing through the art gallery’s door, looking everywhere for the tall older male. Not everyone was graced with the privilege of hearing Shison speak. Himchan was one of the select few. The gallery seemed to be empty for the time being. Panting, Shison made his away into all of the rooms looking for his friend. “O..o...Onii?” he called, popping his head into one of the rooms, hoping Himchan would be there and that he hadn’t somehow given up on the young boy.

How may I help you? {Gun&Shison}

Time was ticking by slowly but at least it was ticking. The cafe was usually bustling with people. College had started up again and business had been going very well. That day was just....slow. Shison forced himself to keep busy at all times. During slow shifts his mind tended to wander. Wandering led to him standing in a corner, watching the customers that were there or at least the people passing by the shop’s large window front. People watching was becoming one of his favorite things to do now. More than ever people were becoming the muses he used for his pictures. On a good day he would even try to paint one of the scenes at the park.

One customer, if you could call the man that, was drawing all of Shison’s interest. The moment the young boy spotted him, Shison knew there was something silly about him. The stranger looked like any other male, but something about him was different. All the customers that visited the cafe either came directly to the counter or they sat down, smiling, waiting for Shison or one of the other workers to come to them. This man did neither. That was silly to Shison, but what made him even sillier was the look of concentration on his face.

A few times Shison had giggled to himself, titling his head a little as he watched. In a way it was cute to see the male thinking so hard, his fingers typing away on his laptop as if his life depended on it. Shison’s boss brought him from his thoughts and made him blink. He was instructed to go speak with this ‘silly’ man. “He has been sitting there long enough, Junnie. You think you could get him to buy something?” The middle aged woman brought a smile to his face as she pinched his cheeks affectionately. With a pep in his step, he headed toward the table, pen and pad in hand. 

The man didn’t even look up as Shison approached him. The boy wiggled his nose a bit as he thought about how to get the man’s attention. It would be rude if the action was too demanding. Plus he was working so hard it made Shison feel even worse that he was about. If he was a college student it could be anything. Taking a soft breath, Shison calmed himself, head titling to the side as he reached out to touch the man’s hand gently with his warm fingertips.

Accidental Meeting [Mark & Shison]

Shison stared down at the small piece of paper that his co-worker had given him the day before. The young lady had just recently started working at the cafe, but she and Shison got along really well. She invited him out to a club to celebrate them making Double Bonus for the month. Normally, the young boy would stay as far away as possible from clubs. His parents had never let him go out to such places back in Japan and Shison never had any desire to go such a place. His new friend was really kind though and she seemed like she really wanted him to be there.

The club he was looking at though was far from what he had in mind. The setting was dark and the neon red lights made his eyes hurt. However, the people looked friendly though. Every time he walked passed someone they would smile at him. Shison had never had so many people smile at him before. It felt nice to have people smile at him so nicely. 

Without glancing at Shison’s ID, the bouncer let him in with the same sweet smile. Bowing his head Shison went in, beginning to look for his new friend in the crowd. She was nowhere to be seen though and worry began to settle in on his mind. Music and bodies pulsed around him like a huge cloud, masking anything else. His nose stung from the smell of alcohol and smoke. This wasn’t a place he wanted to be. 

He turned on his heel to change direction toward the exit. Once he was outside the club he would call his friend so she could tell him where the meeting place really was. Underneath the steady wave of sound vibrating through him, Shison could feel a small vibration in his pocket. It barely registered so he left it alone. Shison pushed his hands into his jacket pocket, winding his way toward the exit, the crowd bumping him farther away than he desired. The end result was him stuck in the back of the club.

Sweets & Fear [OPEN]

The day had started off as any other. Normal. If Shison had been asked what his days felt like he would describe them as ‘NORMAL’. Everything about the boy screamed normal until some one tried to converse with him. So why shouldn’t a normal boy live life normally? Normal would soon fade from his vocabulary.

The noon time rush had taken over the little cafe, sending Shison this way and that, trying to take orders and communicate as best as he could while watching the amount of fresh goods they had on the shelves. Recently, he had been placed on that duty. Making new treats for the cafe was more successful than his boss thought, but having Shison coming up with new ideas constantly began to worry the older woman.

To preserve his mind, she put him in charge of watching the amount of goods they sold throughout the day. If the stock got low Shison would worn the chefs. After a few days of trial and error, Shison managed to get a schedule down of the cycles of goods bought. Today was Sunday and every Sunday their stock for muffins would get low. 

Just a normal Sunday and a normal shift. Everything went according to the usual schedule until a stranger walked in the door. Shison had a system of greeting people. Since he could not hear the bell on the door when new people walked in, his eyes would watch for shadows. It being noon, he would be able to clearly see the shadow of whoever walked in. The next shadow he saw sent a shiver down his spine. 

What was so different about this shadow? It looked like everyone else’s. Right? Shison looked up timidly at the new customer, shrinking back from them even though he bowed in greeting. Silently, the young boy said a prayer, hoping the strange person would not sit in his area. No such luck. 

His lips pressed together as he made his way toward the table. His heart raced in his chest and his palms felt sweaty. Plastering a smile on his now pale face, Shison bowed his head and held up his page for greeting. ‘Hello! My name is Shison. Can I start you off with a drink before you order?’
