A sketch dump of Natalie! A couple of her outfits, a small chibi with no nose (i hate it, jkasdhs) and a self indulgent kaiba jacket because if you don’t ship your OCs with canon characters then what are you even doing with yourself
Nat’s best subjects in school are History and Literature; however, when it comes to math and sciences, Mister Zwicky seems to have to take her aside quite a bit...
“Hey, you!” Nat targeted the incoming man with her gaze, arms crossed as she sat on her box and swung her legs. “Want a paper?” She held a copy of the Publick out lazily, somewhat tired in the afternoon’s light. It was almost time for her to get a fresh Nuka from Takahashi, so it seemed harmless for her to sit rather than stand and yell. Nobody- except these two- had come in the past hour or so, anyway!
I don’t remember if I uploaded this one or not already but I really don’t give my favourite OC enough art attention, smh.
This is Natalie! She’s a bendy dancer, and also a witch. ( I mucked up her shirt but let’s not focus on that. )
What is their size and build? How does it influence how they use their body, if it does?
ALIA - Because she is larger, and certainly curvy, Alia definitely cannot squeeze into small places the same way Amy or Nat, or even Three Dog, could. Instead, she moves smoothly and quickly, doing her best to keep in motion.
AMY - ANSWERED
BEDWYR - Above average in height and build, but Justain Bedwyr is considered to be somewhat small when compared to most of the more notable Brotherhood soldiers. Although he was raised within the Brotherhood, taught respect of one’s superiors and such, he comes off as cocky both in attitude and in demeanor, often physically attempting to stand and walk in an intimidating fashion.
CROSS - With a larger stature and typically wearing power armor, Cross uses brute strength when it comes to close combat, as well as military tactics that the Brotherhood has passed down.
MARINER - Rather small in stature, she is able to run swiftly through Far Harbor when necessary, especially when they are under attack. However, due to her condition, she gets winded easily, so even with her athletic abilities, they no longer benefit her as they once did. She’s also shorter, unable to reach some higher places, but able to climb up when necessary.... But she should probably have a spotter.
NAT - As a child, she is small and sturdy, not lacking in resources for food and drink. Piper takes care of her, so although she might fit into smaller areas, as she grows, Nat becomes less able to do so. Instead, she uses her average size to maneuver her way through crowds as well as being able to just move other people out of the way with general nudges and a demanding, incessant presence.
THREE DOG - With a more wiry build and less fat or muscle, Three Dog is able to squeeze through tight areas and clamber through the DC Ruins with relative ease compared to most others.
Where and when do they seem most and least at ease? Why? How can you tell?
ALIA - She is most comfortable in enclosed spaces, power armor, and anything that can be perceived as ‘safe’. It’s rare for her to be relaxed, as she is a very anxious person, but if her shoulders aren’t tense and her head isn’t constantly turning, searching for any possible enemy, then she’s definitely relaxed.
AMY - Amelia can make herself comfortable just about ANYWHERE, but she is most relaxed at home in Sanctuary (or Bunker Hill in her alt. verse) with her parents. When she’s older, the Castle is a very familiar place and also keeps her at ease. It’s a bit harder to tell when Amy is uncomfortable, but she has similar tics to her mother, biting her lip and gripping her weapons until her knuckles are white.
BEDWYR - Almost always exuding some kind of confidence, Justain is rarely not at ease, though when out on missions, he can be rather tense. That is, before the action begins; once he starts fighting, he is as relaxed as ever.
CROSS - Typically most at ease when wandering or patrolling, Cross is least in her element when having in-depth and emotional conversations with others. Having been raised from a young age within the Brotherhood, she is best at physical feats and activities. Much like Bedwyr, fighting comes naturally- although she is far less cocky than he.
MARINER - The Mariner is most comfortable on her own; she lived most of her life by herself before the Fog’s recent resurgence, and even with the bustling harbor now, she isn’t a fan of being bothered. She’s easily exasperated by the Harbormen and women’s intrusions into her schedule, especially knowing how little time she has left... There’s no time to be bothered with other people when they’ll only hurt once she’s gone.
NAT - Natalie is rarely uncomfortable, finding her place in nearly any situation she might find herself in, but when she is, it’s typically in intimate discussions; she easily deflects any attempts to delve into her own thoughts outside of her opinions. Any issues or emotions she has, she doesn’t discuss, and to try is to find a cold shoulder.
THREE DOG - A bit of a social butterfly, Three Dog never had problems around others. The only time he might really be ill at ease is around clearly violent individuals, such as an evil karma Lone Wanderer. Even then, he is defiant, always fighting the good fight. The most obvious sign of discomfort for him is the fact that he won’t stop talking. Even worse than usual.
How are they bodily expressive? How do they use nonverbal cues such as their posture, stance, eyes, eyebrows, mouths, and hands?
ALIA - Alia learned to suppress most of her physical reactions in the Vault, finding that they gave her away too easily to her bullies. However, when nervous, she does twiddle her thumbs and bite her bottom lip. Her eyes widen with curiosity, she’ll bounce on her toes a bit when excited, and if she’s really comfortable with someone, she does gesture with her hands a little bit.
AMY - Answered
BEDWYR - Bedwyr has very small tics, tiny smirks in the corner of his mouth, crinkled eyes with amusement. But negative emotions typically shut down any physical responses, making him somewhat robotic and detached.
CROSS - Quite the opposite of Bedwyr, Cross is far more subdued in her neutral or positive emotions, but when it comes to anger, she is far more expressive, if only after she finds her arguments falling flat and believes that her passion might convince the other.
MARINER - When frustrated, her facial expressions convey everything she’s thinking- from narrowed eyes to frustrated frowns, lines creasing around her mouth, fists clenching, every inch of her smaller being vibrating with her anger or frustration when she’s at her worst. It doesn’t help that she can feel her body failing her, slowly ceasing to function properly, so she’s got a shorter temper sometimes as well.
NAT - Natalie is incredibly expressive when it comes to her thoughts, always loud, refusing to back down in any circumstance. When describing an event, her hands will regale the audience with every last movement, emotions meant to be conveyed well be- through on her own expression.
THREE DOG - Three Dog is all in when it comes to expressiveness; his voice changes with every story, doing his best to set the scene without any physical movements required. However, in person, he is much the same and then some.
