Abigail had heard some talking about this.... Circus, but she had a strange feeling about it. So she had grabbed her hero gear and gone to scope it out. Something told the girl not to go, but she ignored the feeling of dread and went anyways. Armed with her hero shot, she left, saying goodbye to her mother before closing the door.

She superjumped to where the circus was so that she wouldn’t cause such a ruckus in the city. The agent looked around, a hand going to the gun on her hip. The feeling of dread only seemed to get stronger to the point where she felt ill. This wasn’t a circus, was it? It was some sort of.... nightmare.

She bought tickets, of course. and then headed inside with the others in the crowd, hoping no one would point her out. She wanted to see what this circus thing was all about.

—    { ✂ } "Isn't a bit suspicious to be out at this hour?"

      An attempt to stifle the disappointment in her voice failed miserably. The distasteful connotation of the words used – "suspicious" was indeed a very vocal choice! – might have given it away... The android had slightly hoped for a secluded environment to wander about in for her midnight strolls; it usually was quiet outside at nighttime, but for some reason, today appeared to be an exception.

      Hazel eyes darted to the stranger. Pink hair with a dark cap tugged over the upper portions. A quiet giggle at such a combination; his tastes were certainly unique. But of course, it would be rude to speak out against such fashion choices. Some people were simply unfortunate; she would remember to add a prayer for his sake, poor thing.

      At least it was hard to see him in this lighting. The weather was decent for the time. Chilliness was to be expected as late hours usually brought low temperatures. However, even with her light dress and frills, her hardware could endure it. She was quite the piece of work if she could say so herself. All the credit goes to her beloved MASTER, who had taken the time and effort to help her return to the society that once threw her away. But those days would change, and they were changing! She would do her best to suppress the glitch, to suppress any transgression within the character she was meant to be.

      Yes, she would be sure to attain  { p e r f e c t i o n } for her dear Master's sake.

      Ah, but back to the matter at hand. The stranger's presence had not ebbed since the beginning of her thought-spiel, so it might be best to address him.

      "I had hoped to have some time to myself for thinking, but I suppose it can't be helped..." A brief smile to amend any offense the first statement might have caused. "My name is Mayu. It is a pleasure to meet you, Sir."

—    { ✂ } Eto... A fingertip rose to briefly scrape away excess lipstick from her mouth before wiping it against her handkerchief. It had been awhile since she had last ventured into the outdoors, but now that it was deemed "safe" again, she would have no probably taking advantage of the new privilege.

       She had never been to a coffee shop before and was unsure how to behave at such places. She had asked MASTER to recommend a suitable place for her first visit after restarting, and he directed her attention to the family cafe a few blocks away.

{ Many new friends await you –- be sure to get acquainted with them. }

      Friends. Right. MASTER wished for her to be happy, to assimilate with human and android society, and she surely will not disappoint! Her attention flickered to the girl entering the cafe. Huh? What a strangely familiar face... Perhaps her memory was corrupted because although she could have sworn she had seen those vibrant locks somewhere before, there appeared to be no name to accompany it. Strange indeed.

      "A–-ah, hello there!"

             A clumsy introduction would be an understatement. She tripped over the first syllable, but thankfully managed to maintain a gentle smile before bowing her head into a swift curtsy. Hazel eyes flashed upwards with contained excitement; potential for a friend was growing, she could feel it. Oh, MASTER would be so proud –- !

      "...Have we met before?"

 { K } ➤ To be honest, things had gotten much quieter in the Tateyama household. The adults referred to it as the "incident," words hushed to a whisper as if the three younger ones did not know. That seemed the complete obvious. They knew, they knew very well that their older sister had gone and died. Kido tried to hide it, but she had a hard time coping with it... Seto definitely did as well. Both grew silent and gloomy, caught in between speaking and remaining isolated. But Kano? It would be a lie to say that Ayano's death had left him unchanged. It hurt, it hurt quite a bit. But whether he'd show it was another matter.

      He had conveniently "forgotten" about asking the others about sneaking out again for a night stroll. After all, it would only be an annoyance to them if he actually woke them up to deliver such useless news. He was not as important as Ayano, but two disappearances in one month seemed only two cruel.

      Ayano...

      She had never scolded him for wandering outside at late hours. She advised him against it, strongly urging him that they could walk together in the morning... But she had called it "their little secret" and never told anyone of his nightly routine.

      { Shuuya-kun -- it's dangerous to go out so late! You might get lost, and then what will happen to our hero? I know! I'll come with you, okay? How does that sound? }

      Shaking the memory away proved futile. It had appeared that he had wandered subconsciously, feet moving without any intellectual consent. This cemetery... Was it where Ayano was buried? Eyes darkened, scanning the area with a rare solemness. Huh? Was that a figure? It might not be wise to call out such a suspicious thing, but if this person was defiling Ayano's grave or anything...! Kano's voice cracked a little bit before the words finally got out -- ah, he couldn't quite hide his fear, could he?

      "Who...who's there?"

      Wandering into the other's rooms was against the rules. Not only did it serve as an invasion of privacy, but perhaps another reason to get yelled at and punched. Ouch. But since when was he one to play by the rules? Huh... For today at least, he would have to obey. Fingertips came into contact with her door in a steady rat-tat-tat beat. Huh... Was she awake? He knocked harder, the annoying tempo unwavering. "Danchouuu -- I'm gunna walk in if you don't respond. Three...two..."

      It really is a wonder that he's still in the household. With all the antics, their only purpose to derive the annoyance of others... A light grin played his lips at that thought. Really now, he was selfish. Not that he'd ever change. It was really great that Kido and Seto existed to look after him, though sometimes, the relationship felt moreso one-sided if anything. It was a strange bond, built through teasing and slugging and pain, the slugging typically coming from the current sleepyhead Danchou. But to be honest, it was pretty cute to see it all take place. What a messed up life this was... Even so, he was grateful.

      Wait, the count-down's way over by now...

                  ...Unless they were counting the way Ayano-nii did during their first Hide-and-Seek fiasco. With her "one-and-a-half," "one-and-a-quarter," until a good half-hour was wasted on counting the itty bitty fractions. Of course, it was later revealed that she heavily underestimated their Hide-and-Seek skills, and the game was never to be brought up again. Good times, good times.

      "Danchou, it's a veeeery special day today, and if you don't come out, I'm gunna tell everyone you have a mega super huge crush on a strange boy and that'll scare them~"

      But really, what is wrong with him?
