I know his name is Christopher but he has FINE written all over him.
Christopher adores his parents-- even if they can be a bit much sometimes. Especially when it comes to trying to pair him off with a princess for the sake of political power. He admires that they married for love, and from a young age wanted just the same.
His parents, Queen Constantina [Charlotte Ermintrude Gwinyvere Maisie Marguerite Anne], and King Maximillian [Godfrey Ladislaus Leopold Sidney Frederick John] met at a ball not unlike the one Christopher meets Cinderella at. They fell in love immediately and have been married for about twenty-five years by the time of the musical.
Christopher is their only child, and something of a miracle baby. They had many issues conceiving, but eventually had a sweet son of their own. Queen Constantina adores him, and dotes on her only child-- while King Maximillian starts off as an attentive father, but as his son matures into an adult, he grows a bit more professional when handling his boy. He's all about decorum and tradition, a sentiment he shares with his wife, who is more of a free spirit in comparison.
The King trained his son in fencing from the moment he could hold a rapier, while the Queen gave him horseback riding lessons.
The Queen is the one who came from the kingdom, whereas her husband married into the throne from foreign royalty.

let it be known i was writing christopher in the descendants franchise in 2019, predating his appearance in rise of red by fucking years. this was long before even an inkling of an announcement was made regarding him and brandy reprising their roles.
