☠--;; i spent most of my time away thinking about motorcity aus and my fave one i came up with was a peter pan au because i mean... think about it the burners all being around 10-12 years old. mike is peter, dutch, chuck and texas are his lost boys. julie is wendy, of course, but also captain hook (kane’s) daughter. SHE is the one with tinkerbell instead of mike-- and her tinkerbell is claire ovo  (and tooley is smee, ofc) also red is mike’s shadow. instead of running away from him, he tries to constantly kill him. :0

Alright, some minor notes on Papyrus/Sans. This info will end up having some slight changes, especially their powers/abilities. 

So, role swap, don’t forget.

Papyrus, ever the puzzle-lover ends up helping the scientists. Which after Scientist Person (swap river person - still working on a better name) falls into the CORE Papyrus gets the teleportation abilities.

I’m still working on if both bros have Gaster Blasters or not, but Papyrus does at least for certain.

But yeah although Sans liked science he did remain too lazy to actually start working with the scientists, whereas Papyru’s problem solving skills and ambition got him in there.

Papyrus urges Sans to do something... but maybe not the Royal Guard because of your 1 HP bro..... 

Sans realizes that although Papyrus isn’t very VOCAL about it, he does fear for Sans so it becomes Sans goal to become strong enough to prove to his brother and himself as well that he’s fine. Also, well someone’s got to protect his bro from any bad human... Pap’s just too trusting.

(Alternatively, Papyrus DOES urge Sans to go for hte Royal Guard so he can be strong and because he believes Sans can do it!! - Sans complies and starts working towards it, and it ends up becoming a big goal of his, at least to show that his brother was right about him!)

Regardless, that’s how they end up swapped.

NOW for personality.

Sans still has depression, and he’s really tired and ends up sleeping a lot. Still makes the beautiful puns. He’s like himself but a more happy-go-lucky. He doesn’t have a ton of weight on his shoulders here because he doesn’t know about resets or anything.

Papyrus is still very excitable, and is always working on the puzzles or tucked secretly into that lab of his working. He still believes anybody can be a good person if they try, but.... well that doesn’t mean he won’t fight temmie or chara now.

FINALLY BATTLE INFO

Sans has almost the same stats. His HP is probably around 20-30 now, bc I agree with the hc that HP is at least partially connected to hope.

He may or may not have Gaster Blasters, I’m not sure yet. However, outside of Gaster Blasters his attack is relatively the same. 

I’m thinking of depending on if the player has been going through geno route yet or not, for sans to have a 0 mercy invincibility frame rate for attacks (like normal) and there to be one when you are going along neutral/pacifist route. He should have the Karmic Retribution power (the purple poisoning).

He’ll be able to move your should around like before with the gravity.

And much like toriel he will TRY to stop hitting you after a certain HP, but just like Toriel some attacks he can’t really stop/control in the middle and he’ll end up killing you (with a shocked look on his face too.) Now if you’re going Genocide run,he WILL be trying to kill you to take your soul to toriel.

Papyrus, he DEFINITELY has gaster blasters. He will still have an invincibility  frame rate for you, though his attacks will be more powerful so you know it evens out. 

His stats are different, hp is down probably about 80 points to an even 600 HP. Attack and defense are going to be about the same, slightly tweaked, i’m not sure bc there’s before and after patch.

Still not sure if i should have pap with karmic retribution as well or not. I’m leaning towards yes, but i’m not entirely sure here. 

Papyrus WILL be able to do that side scrolling thing that unswapped sans does in his battle. 

Ultimately though, no matter where you are in the fight... once you hit 1HP Papyrus will stop. Papyrus will NOT kill you. Instead he captures you and puts you away, where you can escape and fight him again. 

I’m thinking that Pacifist/Neutral Papyrus will still fight you, but he’ll spare you right at the beginning. If you attack then, it won’t kill him, but he’ll start fighting up until you either hit 25% or so of your HP then try sparing you again, once you hit 1HP after that he’ll automatically end the fight and deposit you 20 feet back by your save point. 

Genocide run, he doesn’t spare you at the beginning, but once you hit 1HP he will spare you still saying he believes you can be good person and all that. If you attack him then, regardless of his HP he will die.
