A soft rain had blanketed Orario that morning, leaving the trees and grass adorned with droplets of dew and fresh water glistening in the sunrays peeking through the parting clouds.
Out in the forest, a grouping of tents had been set up, where the bride and groom were located currently--separated. A little banquet table was being set up and the altar in the framing of beautifully green trees had been assembled.
Luvis was dressed and preparing for the day, the ceremony that was to come. He'd already lost count of how many times he already re-adjusted his clothing or any additional adornments. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't nervous, but excitement outweighed any negatives.
He simply couldn't wait to see his bride. What a beauty she was sure to be--though in his eyes, she always was. The only thing Rana told him after she helped Dez go dress shopping was that he'd love it. Not that he was fishing for hints to begin with.
There was a knock on the door and his God, Modi, entered the room. "Ooh~I always knew you cleaned up well--"
"--I implore you not to tease me right now," Luvis cut across him and he laughed, patting his shoulder.
"Nothing of the sort! I just stopped by to see how you're doing, really. The guests have started arriving." He noticed his follower's suddenly alert expression. "Yes, little Rabbit Foot is here. He brought his Familia too, as you invited them. Those of Hermes and Miach Familia that you invited just arrived as well. Magni and his boys are here, too."
He watched Luvis take a slow breath.
"I know elves and Dwarves don't get along very well, but you all went through so much on floor 25 together...I'm sure they're happy to be witness to your wedding. Now, it's almost time."
"Yeah...just give me another moment, Lord Modi," Luvis looked back at his reflection again, feeling a swelling of pride in his chest. His wedding day...to the woman he'd fallen so hard and fast for. The fluttering in his stomach was so real, he felt almost like he'd start coughing up butterflies any moment.
