It had been a particularly long and stressful day. The customers who had come to the flower shop had been demanding and their attitudes sour. More than once he had been shouted at and called unmentionables but he had done his best to face it with a brave face. Now the day was over he couldn’t help but breath a sigh of relief. At least it wasn’t his brother, a fight would of definitely broken out if he was here.
Instead the younger Matsuoka brother was staying at their family house for the weekend. Leaving Shinya to stew in his emotions alone. Silence fell over him and another weary sigh leaves him as he briefly leaves the shop floor to grab a glass and a half finished bottle of wine. Reaching the counter a glass is poured and several needy mouthfuls are taken before he finds himself slumping back down on the surface. Resting his head against his forearms and lightly nuzzling into them. He still had some book keeping to do but at least he had booze now and no more customers.
No more customers....That had been a mistake. The little jingle of the bell announces someone’s entrance and he doesn’t even look up. He had totally forgotten to turn the sign to closed. Fearful to even look at them at this point he mutters.
❝We’re shut for the day. ❞
