it’s a wonderful life [ peter & glenda ]

Glenda was nervous. Why was she nervous. This was just a movie. A movie with a friend. A movie with a friend arranged by another friend who was not going to be there, just suggested it for the two of them, because she knows the two of them are friends. Nothing more, nothing less. It was just her brain messing with her and worrying her for nothing. When this was over and she already got home, she was going to laugh at herself for worrying about nothing.

Still, she arrived a bit early to the movie theater and now she was waiting kind of awkwardly outside, not wanting Peter to think she didn’t arrive yet while she was inside. (She did check inside for a second, though, just to see if Annie was there, but the other girl wasn’t.) “Peter, hi,” she greeted the boy when he arrived, her voice maybe a bit higher than usual, because of that damn awkwardness. But at least her voice was not shaking. “How are you? Are you excited for the movie?”
