"If I might ask: What is it that you are seeking in this town?”

A hollow voice could suddenly be heard coming from just a few meters behind Setsuko. It was the dark of night, but with Caren’s white hair and pale skin, it wasn’t even a challenge to make out where she stood, or how tall she was.

“I do not ask out of any sort of hostility, to be clear. I am merely curious. Even if your aim is a threat to the people living in this area, I myself could do little to prevent it.” Her blatant announcement of her being helpless was just as emotionless as everything else about the girl, whether it might be regarded as true or false.

Either way - she clearly sought honesty, not entertainment.
