Visiting his family when he had some time off was always important to Tequila and he loved caring for the animals on their ranch. But something seemed to have spooked some of the horses and when he had gone to investigate what was making the horses so nervous, he hadn’t actually expected to find a person. 

Still, he tightened his grip on his shotgun almost unnoticeably but didn’t point it at the intruder just yet. “’nd who might ya be?” He tried to keep a level voice and stopped several feet away.

Finally home - or, well, what counted as his home right now. Throwing the stupid hat aside and pulling off his jacket, Tequila was just glad when he was finally able to change in some comfortable clothes. Not that his Kingsman made suit wasn’t comfortable but it was still something else to wear the clothes he was used to compared to the suits.

He quickly made himself something to eat before turning towards his laptop and made a video call to Darius. When it was accepted, Tequila grinned at the other Statesman. “Howdy Ginge! How’s it going?”

“…No? Did you?” it’s kind of implied, so Neville’s already looking that way to check if he can see anything himself. There’s a big chance he won’t but that doesn’t necessarily mean there’s nothing there. Better safe than sorry, isn’t that right?

“Think you could describe it? Any detail helps.”

He still had no idea why he had been chosen as one of the few Ilvermorny students to take part in the exchange program with Hogwarts but here he was (sorted in a house called Gryffindor), which had somehow lead to him wandering the grounds with the boy called Neville Longbottom.

“I don’t know... Looked like a hooded figure I guess? Dressed all in black. Maybe I imagined it.” Though he doubted it. He rarely imagined stuff like that. He might not be the sharpest tool in the shed but he wasn’t an idiot either.

Torn out of his brooding thoughts, Tequila looked at Neville before glancing at the night sky - which was already starting to lighten again as the sun was starting to go up. A shrug and a muttered, “a few hours I guess” is all the answer he gives.

“You the new guy, right? Brandy, was it?” Tequila asked, leaning against the doorframe, completely relaxed and with an easy-going smile on his face. Pushing off the doorframe, he walked towards the other man and held out a bottle of Statesman Whiskey. “Welcome to the team.”
