welcome home
i’m not home.
that was her reply the moment bette suggested the idea that she was home. how could tina possibly feel at home? when for one, she was sleeping in the guest bedroom. and two, she was harbouring such a massive secret from bette. their baby - or perhaps, her baby - was currently growing inside of her.
the moment joyce wischnia came onto her, all tina wanted to do was surrender her anger for bette and go home. she was scared, and alone, and she wanted, no needed, the security and safety that bette provided. she’d cried herself to sleep that night, before showing up at bette’s doorstep. she hadn’t had a single good night’s sleep since sleeping on alice’s couch, or in a motel room. here, she knew she could finally rest.
after unpacking her things in the guest room, tina went to find bette. “i’m going to take a bath. i’m going to be a while. you don’t need the shower, do you?” she asked sharply, keeping up the terse façade she had arrived on bette’s doorstep with.
