It had been bothering Erik for a long time, since Arboria actually, that Hiro had seemed to know things he shouldn’t have, that they hadn’t told him but he’d known anyway. Most of them had passed it off as some wierd coincidence since strange things had been happening anyway -- like the wierd, ugly sword he’d been carrying when he’d first vanished and then came back inside Arboria, and the fact that he’d seemed to see that attack on Yggdrasil coming.
The real thing that had him about it was when he’d seemed to head straight for the alcove the cyanette knew the Vikings lived in, ended up holding his hand, and then marching right past the Vikings with him despite his tensing up and straight for the place he knew Mia was at. He’d even seemed to know what to do when it came to releasing her from the gold statue she had turned into, when Erik had been searching for five years and hadn’t had the slightest clue on how to release the curse.
The biggest kicker about that was, he’d never told anyone about Mia. Not even Derk, not until that point... so how had Hiro of all people known about her?
So when they were camping some distance from Puerto Valor, and they had managed to get some time alone, away from the others, he knew that was his chance. So he leaned against a tree, arms crossed and aquamarine eyes narrowed slightly, and finally asked that burning question -- “How do you know all this stuff, anyway? About Mia, and everyone else... I’ve never told anyone about Mia, not even Derk, and yet somehow you knew exactly where she was. How?”
