‘‘Is that supposed to scare me?’‘ Loki asked, looking at the other. ‘’I’m a God, I am most certainly not afraid of a ---’’ Not little or short, huh? ‘’person with compromised height. But yes, I would actually like to have something. What would you recommend? It’s been a while since I’ve been here.’’
Sure, he could’ve easily not said anything about his height again, but he had definitely taken that as a challenge. And technically he had listened to what the other had said, so TECHNICALLY, Edward couldn’t get mad at him for it.

" The thing about serial killers, B, is that they all more or less fall prey to the same repeating patterns of behaviour. All I did was figure out what your pattern was and it all was all smooth-sailing from then on " Lawliet spoke directly into the microphone, his tone cold and detached. " A compulsive need to stand out from the crowd. Admittedly your tricks to throw me off your trail were clever if not just as cliche. "
" I'm sure that's the hardest thing for you to come to terms with, isn't it? The realization finally setting in that you were never special and that your actions ultimately amount to nothing in the grand scheme of things. " The monitor flickered with static, the large L on the screen remaining ever omnipresent.
" And even the damage you wrought onto the families of your victims will fade over time. You won't even linger as someone's memory after you've died. I couldn't imagine being dealt a sadder fate. "
‘‘....’‘ He was quiet as he listened to his ex-mentor’s words.. and as much as he had always planned to keep his secret, he knew that it would trigger L’s curiosity. Make him useful again. Prove that he WAS special, and that he could do something that L could not.
‘‘I never thought that I would live to see the day where the great Lawliet would be so wrong.’‘ Oh he was very much aware that he was not supposed to know his name. Yet, they had met back at Wammy’s. How else would he know how to dress like him?
‘‘Cause I am. I am very special. I can do something which I know you can’t.’‘ B spoke, an eerie grin now settling on his features as he moved to twist the cap off a jar of jam. ‘‘But you’re right, I am quite forgettable. Which may come in handy sometime.’‘
@sekai-no-moji (plotted starter!) When Roy woke up, a gentle smile instantly settled on his lips. Every single sense told him that he was right where he belonged. Next to the woman he loved. He could feel the warmth of her bare skin as they spooned, smell her shampoo, and when he opened his eyes just a tiny bit he could see her blonde hair right in front of him.
And a good thing too, ‘cause Roy had been dreaming about her, and let’s just say that another part of him had noticed her presence too. It hadn’t been an innocent dream either. Oh, most definitely not.
So once he woke up just a little more he pressed closer, kissing her neck as he pressed their hips flush together, his morning wood definitely noticable.
‘‘Good morning lieutenant..’‘ He purred next to her ear.

Ed had blinked at that and gone quiet, watching Envy for a moment surprised that's what the other wanted to mention and ask about. Or imply he'd been wondering anyways. Looking back up at the sky, he thought about it, "What I'm really scared of...huh?" Ed hummed softly, "I guess if I had to pick just one thing, that's a deep down fear and not just an irrational phobia, I'd have to say loosing the people I care about most." that idea terrified him. It scared him to tears when he first lost Al to the gate when they were kids and he thought he was alone, it scared him when Winry had been threatened, when his friends in the military were targetted, when Al sent himself back to the gate for Ed to get his arm back, and now Envy...
"....I'd say it's pretty damn scary."
‘‘Losing the people you care about...’‘ He said, a huff to his voice. How pathetic, a voice inside his mind instantly said. As if you can’t live your life without one specific person in it. There is plenty of others. It continued.
Yet... Envy tried to think about it for longer than that. After all... was he scared of losing the people he cared about? He was still conflicted about what caring about someone meant to him. Envy hadn’t quite figured it out.
He lost a lot of people he used to be close to by now... Lust, Gluttony.... even Father. But... as much as he wanted to care, and HAD cared at the beginning, he didn’t really find himself missing them. After all, no matter how close they had been, Envy was never happy when he was with them.
The homunculus glanced over towards Edward, eyes scanning over his face and his golden eyes, and without realizing it himself, a blush had spread across his cheeks. ‘’Yeah... I think I understand that..’’

Ed was good at lying. Call it a survival mechenism to keep skating under the radar around adults who, if they were smarter or paying closer attention, might notice something was off at home. Or at the very least "not traditional" to put it mildly. He had to get good at lying and hiding most of those ticks people had when they were making something up. Looking in someone in the eye or not reacting to being called on something took a lot of work. It just put him on edge now when someone accused him of it, whether Ed actually was lying or not didn't even matter anymore, "What makes you say that?"
‘‘I’m just good like that.’‘ That was all the explanation he needed, really.
Moriarty was never really in trouble. After all, he always let others do the dirty work for him. And it had always worked out perfectly before. He specialised in planning crimes and picking the right people to do the jobs. If anyone opposed he made sure to get rid of them. If there was one thing he hated it was loose ends.
‘‘How have you heard about me?’‘ He asked then. ‘’And tell the truth this time, or you’ll regret it.’’ Moriarty wasn’t holding a weapon, but there was something.... something cold about his gaze that definitely showed he wasn’t kidding.

‘‘I’m very sorry, miss Kirigakure, I’m afraid I can’t do anything to take this force away. However, it is not the end of the world. A force like this cannot exist forever, it will fade eventually. Until it does, we are just going to have to learn to live with it.’’ He spoke, sitting at his desk.
‘‘I am not even sure what demon caused this, but we are going to have to be careful for now. We never know if they may strike again. Although that would be stupid, considering we are currently never alone.’‘

"We just need to be able to see through the rain to find a cave or some sort of shelter first.” Hal answered quietly, taking his arm gratefully. The fact that they had taken the offered support wasn’t a good sign, since they normally avoided any sort of help when it came to injuries. Dark grey eyes scanned their surrounding as both Rangers moved, before something caught their attention. A familiar seven pointed star carved into the wall- and they were about to go straight past it. “Aragorn. Dúnedain mustering cave.”
{♚} - ‘’You have sharp eyes, still. A good sign.’’ He spoke, a light smile now showing up on his lips. ‘’Come on then.’’ Aragorn moved them both into the cave, glad to find a dry spot to rest up. ‘’Let me have a look at your injuries..’’ Having traveled far and wide in his life, he knew a thing or two about fixing people up.
They didn’t really have any luxurious supplies or anything, but part of surviving was to be creative and resourceful. They would find a way.
