Samantha Lee
[text] Sister, where are you? Come over. Okay. Victor is a fucking bastard for calling off the wedding. He doesn't deserve you. Wait until I get my hands on him. Samantha Lee, goddamnit answer your phone.
Her head craned to the side, awfully worried for the bothersome grief her sister has. It wasn't the first time she'd experienced a break-up. But for a heart-break it is probably the first. Lorraine knew very well of how ruined Samantha's future was with the announcement of the arranged marriage, but for it to be called off when her little sister had prepared everything in herself for the undertaking is more devastating as it came crashing on her. Yet she could not choose which word to say to comfort the younger one. What happened to the sweet elder sister Samantha had grew up with most of her life? She need not know. That was the offshoot of her change - the complex of expressing emotions. Her fingers itched to tap on the back button of her screen. And they did, until the space became blank yet again. And then new message was written.
[text] Settle yourself. Go back to London. Get your things and live here. I need a second hand at my company. You'd be an asset. Work, Samantha.
'You'll get through this.' Lorraine ended in her thoughts.
Act I: The React Of A Pristine Malediction
Perfection has its flaws.
Twenty years of flawless, perfect living. Candice Lorraine had spent her early years in London, with each and every need and even much more offered to her in a golden platter. Being the eldest child of the great John Lee and Emily Davis was quite enough - she was blessed with all a person could need. Aside from the financial abundance were also that innate beauty, elegance and intelligence that made her a successful young woman in her field. They were princesses in their own kingdom, Lorraine and Samantha. They were the flawless diamonds, and yet the world fail to see the hidden anomalies.
It was on her exact twentieth birthday that she had grown weary of everything - of being perfect to a point where she could no longer take a hold of her life that was planned for her. With the sudden announcement of her engagement of the young woman with a son of one of the successful businessman in England, Lorraine took the courage to break the glass that has been keeping her. It wasn't just about the engagement, or how her father had planned all of this all along without her consent. There were something more she needs to discover. Why are there no plans of her taking in to their company as the next successor? It was obvious with the way they wanted her to be chained in a household. But most of it is, why are they so keen about them not going to South Korea when in fact the Korean blood still runs in them?
It is now nine years since she first landed on the soil of her root kin. There were far more things she had discovered, and the flawless diamond broke. The place was the world she never knew - a sinister world no one could have known except them. And yet she was trying to live as normal as she could. Not until her little sister Samantha decided to join in her quest - which, apart from their knowledge, could lead to their ultimate destruction.
Emily: Jungah..
Lorraine: Mom. You've called..
Emily: Are you still mad at me?
Lorraine: Mom.. Please. Let's not start with this again.
Emily: But Jungah...
Lorraine: Mom, whatever happens in the past stays in the past.
Emily: You are still angry.
Lorraine: Mom. Please. Alright. I am not angry. I was never mad at you from the beginning.
Emily: That's a relief then.
Lorraine: I need to finish some papers.
Emily: Wait..
Lorraine: What is it?
Emily: Would you pay me a visit? I miss you.
Lorraine: Mom, you know I can't. Father..-
Emily: He'll never know.
Lorraine: That would be impossible mom.
Emily: Please?
Lorraine: Mom, I really can't. And I am really busy right now. I will call you later.
Emily: I want to see you. I miss you.
Lorraine: Me too, mom. I will hang up now. Take care.
Emily: Jungah, always remember that I love you, okay? And that I will always be waiting.
Lorraine: I know and I love you too mom. Good bye.
