yoongi wasn’t one of those rich kids who hated being rich. he actually liked it. he liked the luxury lifestyle he grew up in. he liked the connections he had. he liked having a nice house and a nice cleaning lady who came twice a week. there were plenty of perks in the world yoongi lived in. the one thing the son didn’t like was how often his father tried to set him up into friendships with the children of people he met through work. usually, the encounters were.. well... awkward to say the least. not much talking would happen between yoongi and the other kid and it would always end up with a bad first impression on both sides of the minimal conversation.

last year, when yoongi’s father had went from daegu to seoul on a business trip, he met another man at a party who had a daughter near the young aspiring idol’s age who had the same dream as him. since then, the businessman wouldn’t stop going on about how well the two would get along as friends. yoongi thought he had heard the end of it.

until recently.

his father had eagerly called him yesterday about how he was just on the phone with the other man and they talked about how yoongi has been in seoul since march and that he should meet this famous daughter named jieun now. plans were already set up for the two to meet at a nearby café and because yoongi forgot how to say no to his father in that moment, it was something that ended up happening. he dreaded it, but he knew that if he were to ditch the plan his father would be pissed off for ages and that wasn’t really something he wanted to see on video chat or hear over the phone. so, here he was. at a french named café that was relatively crowded.
