ft. antigone at christmas while not her very favorite holiday, tig is a lover of the christmas season. her family was always caught between needing to make public appearances and trying to celebrate privately so their traditions vary in scale. among tig’s favorites are ice skating in the city, watching the ballet, making christmas cookies with their grandmother, and walking through the city to look at the lights. christmas eve is always filled by visiting santa for photographs and opening presents at home. the triplets always insisted on wrapping their own. once tig started showing signs of being a seer, they started to make a game as to whether she could guess correctly before opening her presents. they almost always fell asleep playing games and woke up in bed the next morning. christmas day was explosive with excitement. their mother was a driving force behind making the most of a city holiday. they bustled about with almost no end. that’s why the big christmas dinner at the end of the day was always such a relief. tig almost always fell asleep before dessert. @pointlessresistxnce

the graves triplets’ apartment

when the triplets realized that they would not be moving back to america immediately after graduation, ajax suggested a nice flat in central london that was near enough to the ministry that it would not be a very long commute for any of them. it was archie that found the exact location, with enough room for them to all stay comfortably, and took care of the finances for it, he was often the one responsible for that sort of thing. it didn’t take long for antigone to fill every room with plants, memories, and all kinds of art. she would spend hours on finding just the right location to post up ajax’s most recent work and the right frames from archie’s many accolades.

it was a single story apartment that some might consider cozy. however, there was a bedroom for each along with a kitchen, a sitting room, a study, a drawing room, and a large open balcony. accents of green, blue, and red litter every corner of the obviously colonial inspired decorations. it was a unique blend of floral vegetation lovingly grown and cared for, with well worn books, antique knick knacks, and cohesive patterns of images. there was an odd comfort to the harmonious chaos.

the kitchen was a green room with lots of light. the counters were a bright, polished granite, and there was always a vase with new flowers on the small, round glass table under the window that sat three identical wooden chairs. it was organized how ajax liked, as he was the one who used it most often. however, tig never leaves the cookie jar in the same place twice so it is often missing. the sitting room housed several recliners and sitting chairs as well as a long sofa and several shelves. notably, there are three bookshelves against the wall, each belonging to one of the triplets and notably filled with different things.

the study has the most pictures from home. a large portrait of their mother and father hang near a little reading corner. their grandmother’s image sits on archie’s desk along with an old pocketwatch that belonged to their grandfather. the drawing room holds a large easel that faces the window. there are trunks in the corner filled with art supplies and little crafts or collections. the balcony, like much of the house, is overflowing with tig’s ever growing garden. it’s got lots of pillows spread around the ground, white linen drapes surrounding it, and several pairs of roller blades hidden in the corner.
