There has never been a time in D’artagnan’s life where he’s seriously considered running away, but it’s a passing thought, the kind you occasionally think of until it disappears and you don’t think of it again, not for a while. Those kinds of thoughts usually do more harm than good, making you think of the implausible what ifs like you, in your fragile human form, can actually change your outcome. This place is where he wants to be, where he’s supposed to be. Everything in his life has come together to put him right here with the musketeers, at the Garrison, with Constance. And why should he want to run away from fate? “It’s just that, a notion,” he says with a grin. Then, tilting his head back in observation of him, he raises his brow in question. What’s given Aramis the notion of running away? Unless, of course, it’s one of those passing thoughts that D’artagnan gets every now and then, that everyone gets every now and then. “Why do you ask? Not thinking of leaving us, are you?”
