you're reading the grishaverse books!!!! i won't lie the grisha trilogy honestly pretty much sucks :/ i only recommend reading it for context in king of scars, otherwise it's really a bust imo? some people loved it but... it wasn't for me. six of crows, however, was a lot better!!!! leigh really improves after tgt which is nice!!!
i’ve always heard really mixed stuff about tgt and based on what i saw i was pretty sure i’d be underwhelmed by it which is so far true, but i don’t wanna be totally lost when reading six of crows which sounds so up my alley!! i’m so excited just to get them off my tbr lmao.
i’ve noticed that shadow and bone is the most Stereotypically YA book i have ever read since divergent. like i’ve been taking notes and so far it has

- boring girl vs cocky guy vs brooding guy
- chubby boy grows up to be hot
- “i’m not pretty >:( but i am super thin and i will mention it every ten pages :p”

i am so sure that this list will grow to an astronomical size by the time i’m done reading it but i am Hyped anyways to get to the rest of them!! also reading it keeps reminding me of the time leigh bardugo came to this meet the author event i was at (i was only there for marissa meyer lol) and my aunt knew her books and had me take a picture with her and i had no idea who she was but she signed one of my books and asked me who my favorite character was and i panicked and said “oh i love the main character hahaha” i’m going to have a meltdown over this
