For all his tolerance (or more than that) with regards to Hyuna, she was still unfortunately very human. Which more or less meant she was incapable of actually feigning innocence in front of him. So the smirk that flashed across his face was amused rather than annoyed as he surveyed one of his favorite “pets” from his other business.

“Bought the place.” He said as an explanation, though he didn’t look like he was there to work out, what still dressed in his dress shirt and pants. “Your form could use some work, little human.” He let his eyes grow heavy, already a lingering promise in his tone as he surveyed her attire. “Do you actually do any training here or---?” He let the sentence linger as he leaned against the treadmill next to hers.

Your host for this evening will be ironically dressed in white. The mask he will be wearing was fashioned after an old gladiator’s helmet, in burnished bronze and copper. He has no other accessories (he would come naked if he could), except for a glowing mark on the collar of his tuxedo jacket. To those with keen eyes, they’ll see the mark is the anchor to a thin-like chain leading to the only person who can tether him: Aphrodite.

It was all Aphrodite’s fault. This incessant nattering about her “baby boy” had been enough to rile Ares’ easily triggered temper, and in a fit of rage had stormed out of her apartment in order to do her bidding. Go bond with our son. She had said it so sweetly, and still with the scent fresh from their lovemaking, it annoyed him that he gave in so easily, both to her and to his anger.

That was the reason he was standing in this measly mortal supermarket, looking severely out of place against the bright lights. He had stormed in, grabbed a pathetic plastic basket and gripped it so hard it snapped into pieces. He had stalked the aisles until he found Aphrodite’s spawn. Looking even more conspicuous with his gilded wings and brightly colored clothes. All of it screamed his sister’s offspring, there was hardly anything in Eros that Ares would consider his.

Tch. He had released the threat with no other reason that he felt like threatening the Cupid. He could be back in bed entwined with the lover he knew best, but instead he was here, and now he was itching for a fight.

Papa?!

It wasn’t even the thrashiest of call outs, but it was enough to send Ares’ eyebrows sky high, the scowl on his face deepening. Why the cheeky bastard---

A fist flings out and a second later the care Eros was pushing was flying through the air crashing through a display of watermelons, spewing fruit everywhere.

“Don’t need an army to hand you your ass,kid.”
