no one can say anything to jet if lol at the end of a 100+ war (not to mention the colonization that was already happening so the war against loss of culture etc was already beginning) everybody's just supposed to forgive & forget everything (& ppl go 'why is the ek messed up' lol & after no reparations or decolonization ). just forgive & forget, mass murder, war crimes, the fact that war criminals are still in charge & the family who profited off of imprisonment, forced labor, cultural genocide etc is still just given a throne with 0 repercussions..0 tribunals.  all those who participated in raids still free. No one can say anything to Jet. Nothing. what he did isn’t even close--what he did is the direct result of colonization on an oppressed people. 

as Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak points out,  Fanon is not endorsing violence but that this is a tragedy in itself as ‘the very poor are reduced to violence because there is no other response possible to an absolute absence of response and an absolute exercise of legitimized violence from the colonizers’

i forgot that Sozin had already started colonizing before the war--or really before the comet and the g*nocide of the Air Nomads...really...the war began more than 100 yrs ago--it began when they started occupying, killing, and destroying the land and enslaving the people to make  colonies.. & i believe even Sozin tries to justify it with ‘bringing their culture’  & as Edward Said points out: “Every single empire in its official discourse has said that it is not like all the others, that its circumstances are special, that it has a mission to enlighten, civilize, bring order and democracy, and that it uses force only as a last resort. you have no idea how even more pissed I am at 'the Promise'..Colonization is sickening, there's no way around that it's literally 'we are here to subjugate and control you--if you don't like it, you die or we can just kill you because we feel like it.'  & more like people are coerced & intimidated into ceding Earth Kingdom land..what kind of neo liberal colonialism apologists.......
